350 mile start of summer ride on a Radrunner 1

Hi, I just came home from a 350 mile trip on my Radrunner 1 this AM. Much of it was on the New York State Empire State Trail, following the Erie Canal from Buffalo to just East of Rochester, New York.

I live south of Buffalo along the shores of Lake Erie and rode to Macedon, New York to visit a few of my grandchildren.

The bike performed well, I do have some issues that I need to address, but I do not believe they are related at all to the trip. For those that want to know, I had three batteries, three chargers and I was towing a trailer. My biggest day was 97 miles and honestly at the end of the 97 miles it was nearly midnight. I was utterly exhausted and I just parked and cowboy camped. I really wanted to do a century ride on the bike. I was 3 miles short, but there was no way I could even go the other 3 miles. My next biggest day was 87 miles the following day, getting a flat on my trailer, brought that ride to abrupt end for the day.

Believe or not the biggest issue I had was with the Aosom trailer that I had. I had a blowout about 75 miles from home and when I say a blowout, it literally put a huge hole in the physical tire. I’ve never seen anything like it. And I was not able to source a tire anywhere. I had a 16 inch inner tube in my repair kit but nobody was stocking 16 inch physical tires.

This AM I’m taking a few minutes break getting in the car and heading out to the lift bridge over the canal. The operator of the lift bridge let me put my trailer in their shed until I can come and pick it up today.

I just turned 60 a few days ago. The ride was exciting, terrifying and lots of fun and I’m so glad I did it, despite the issues I had the last part of the ride. If I would’ve had these issues at the beginning of the ride, I probably would’ve abandoned it.

Already thinking about my next trip.

The transformation over the years even in my short 60 years of being on this planet have been absolutely stunning. There’s so much to do and so much to see. I’m glad my grandkids get to experience the Buffalo that I didn’t.

Well there goes another 1 million people to the west lol.

It’s what North Korea uses. It’s only natural resource. It’s also filled in the artillery shells that were sent to Russia. Lol

I literally just finished this morning at about 9 AM riding from Buffalo to Macedon, which is just outside of Rochester on the Empire State Trail. The scenery is absolutely stunning. But there are several spots blocked off for construction and rerouting for me personally and a group of other riders that kind of caught up with me sucked, be careful it’ll be just before Middleport coming from Buffalo. I will be heading back to Buffalo from Macedon tomorrow morning.

I rode up here to visit with my grandkids.

First e-bike Canal ride

Hi everyone. I rode my ebike from a little town on Lake Erie called Silver Creek to here where I’m at right now in Pendleton New York just getting ready to get on the Empire State Trail. I will be riding this trail along the Erie canal all the way to Macedon to visit my grandchildren there.

I will be coming home Friday morning, riding the Empire State Trail, all the way to downtown Buffalo. And then from there along the lake shore back to my starting point.

I just had to share. I wanted to start summer off with a nice long bike ride.

I did about 45 miles yesterday (I didn’t leave until 3pm) I had to spend close to an hour under a bridge waiting for the rain to let up we should never did. The last two hours were in soaking rain.

Right now, I am at 20 miles, with 90 more to go to my son’s house. yesterday truly sucked with the weather, but today is been the absolute opposite.

Wait are they card carrying communist party robot dogs?

The first of hopefully many rides to come. I’m 60 years old and I’m very new to biking. I’m at my 1st destination and everything I mean everything is soaked and I took steps to prevent that Ugh, it is almost 9pm and it’s still raining.

Just started a ride to my son’s house who lives near the Erie Canal. I am going to be riding from Buffalo to Macedon, New York along Erie Canal Trail. I rode 44 miles tonight to my first stop and then tomorrow I will actually be on the trail. The total mileage when I’m done by the end of this week should be around 350 that includes my run to his house and then back.

One of us, one of us.

You will be assimilated

But wait a minute aren’t the Russians there to save Ukraine from Nazis is now France coming to help them as well?

I really wish that as time goes by Russia gets pushed back to the 2014 line.

Well, maybe he was having a mini stroke maybe that’s what the slur was? 🤫

Maybe it’s actually a North Korean rocket that never made it to orbit lol they seem to be doing that lately. I like what SpaceX is doing and I absolutely was very fond of Elon Musk but now sometimes I scratch my head and wonder if he’s OK. But he is a very brilliant man no matter how you look at it.

No, no comrade leader it was not a space satellite, but a large firework display intended for your distinguished honor.

I hope he bought it

Wait a minute did I read this title correctly? It’s a nuclear power plant and they’re not mentioning Russia threatening to use a nuclear weapon. 🤔

Grandpa joke. I don’t think you’re going to find a rack to put your Tesla Y onto your Rad Runner. 🤪

Do it you don’t want to be responsible for any of his kids do you? The money you spend on his kids could be used for bike parts.

He’ll even get free air miles if he uses his credit card to fill up.

Not fighting harder for her when my wife asked for a divorce.

Or, just maybe incompetence. But who knows I wouldn’t put it past hacking and I wouldn’t put it past incompetence either. I’m glad it didn’t launch. I’m sure it was not for good.

Good question I think it depends on the time of the day and what North Korea wants at that moment.

So much for the Russian help I think they were getting. They blow up just like their shells do in the barrels of Russia’s artillery.
