Do you have a good relationship with your current manager?

Would they take you back if the promotion didn't work out?

Staffing can take a while maybe it's a conversation to have with your manager.

If they hadn't yet replaced you they could always deploy you back, I did this for one of my staff recently how took an opportunity and didn't like the new org.

I'm curious, where is a degree required for management when it isn't required for the working level?

100% hebesha one of my wife and my favorites and a sore point now that we've moved out of the area.

Although I never understood the salty salad everything else is absolutely delish

The same way as it does now.. SSC is "remote by design" after all.

But in reality I'd say SSC is more likely to allow remote work than most of the organisations in the GoC both in termes of exemptions and the fact we have people and office all across the country on almost every team.

Come to the dark side, we have exemptions and training

Be careful what you step on and who you interact with. Even though you are time traveling for work you actions could have unexpected consequences.

Well look at that you have gone and done it, perfectly summed up advice about when and when not to speak. I hope it's ok but I've now shared this with all of the leadership on team and will likely share it many more times in my career to come.

That compassionate human focus leadership is encouraged and put first where I am at. I have lots of latitude to actually take care of my people which in turn builds a strong, loyal and dedicated team.
