Japan has such a unique relationship with technology. Fax machines and flip phones are still common, but then they'll make something like this.

Bill Gates has said some sketchy stuff publicly in the past, and seems to have a penchant for dystopian thinking. People like him should be kept away from policy making.

Jane Wiedlin, the guitarist from "The Go-Gos".

It was easy to say as kids living off of our parents, but once those bills and responsibilities started rolling in that died pretty quickly.

Considering about 2.5 million copies were actually sold, that's alot of bargain bin Gamepass players.

I don't really have any investment in whether EV sales rise or fall, but based on the drop off in the rate of sales from the industry as a whole I think that the early adoption phase is over. Even a quick search on google and youtube will provide more than enough information on the issue, feel free to look around. I read an interesting article in Harvard Business Review that seems to summarize the situation well.

I don't like or dislike EV's, but the buyer (at least in the US) has said no thank you. The infrastructure and the electrical requirements just aren't there,  to say nothing of the charging issues.I believe hybrids in one form or another will be the future of automobiles in the US.

I played this on the original Playstation. I remember having to switch out the game discs constantly, there were 5 if I remember correctly.

Marrying the wrong person. If you have children, nothing will affect your life longterm (aside from hard drugs) quite like it.

Skipped classes to go to the arcade, went to local tournaments, I even knew which arcades in the area had good cabinets with solid controls. I put alot of energy into that one.

I even remember when and where I played SF2 the first time.

He's big into movie scores from what I've heard as well. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Bird Box, even a Disney film.

I saw them live in '95 in a dive bar. Escape from the Prison Planet was my favorite.

Everything. Poor life choices usually mean poor outcomes, while good ones usually lead to a better future. The choices you make today inform your reality tomorrow.

As I picked out fresh produce - "Gigolo...Huh Sucka!"

I heard "Buffalo Stance" by Neneh Cherry at Food Lion a few days ago. It's like a weird alternate universe I'm in.

I like em, but I've always considered them a Led Zeppelin cover band.

My parents didn't stick around, so I was raised by my maternal grandparents. Grandfather served in Army Intelligence in Germany, Japan, and Italy during the war. He also served in Korea before retiring.

Grandfather was 1920, Grandmother was born in 1922. As far as generational differences there's no comparison. Nobody is perfect, but The Greatest Generation earned that distinction. Boomers really started our decline as a culture.

APSTNDP. Even after 20+ years that initialism is burned into my memory.

I went back to college in my mid-20's after going from one bad job to another. I opted for Computer Science, and am very happy I did. My son is currently in college, and I've told him that almost anything outside of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics is a gamble at best. If I had to do it over again in the current climate, and STEM wasn't an option, I'd opt for training in HVAC, welding, plumbing, or electrican work. It costs alot less than college, and there's good pay for someone with those skills.

I know people that habitually turn "quick questions" into 45 minute one way discussions. My advice is to focus on situational awareness, as well as self awareness. Is the person I'm speaking to actively involved in a conversation, or are they giving cues that they've checked out? Do I need to hop from topic to topic to convey the information I began the conversation for?

Be mindful of what the discussion started about, try to stay there.

Film is art, an absurdly expensive art, but art nonetheless. Perhaps cheaper, more purposeful movies could be made if budgets, including actor salaries were scaled back.

Ah, the surrogate father figure for millions of gen X boys. Can't wait to see how he and all the other classic characters are treated!

One of Ian McKellan's more interesting small roles.
