We paid our car off to help with our DTI and it was just nice to buy a house and have a paid off car at the same time! So if you can, I would say pay it off. Itās nice not to have a car payment! š
This is incredibly irresponsible and couldāve ended much worse than just a DUI!! There is no reason in the world that he shouldāve been driving himself!! I guess Iām just sensitive to this having been raised by an alcoholic dad who regardless of everything else ALWAYS got a ride or called a taxi when he was coming home from the bar.
We used to live across the street from a fire station, and I did get used to it somewhat, but never fully. Like you I didnāt realize how often and how early the trucks would come wailing out of there. š We did end up moving. Not just because of the fire station, but that was definitely a factor.
