Clearly because what is being described here is not a healthy approach. Going from an addiction to the next easiest thing is not fixing anything, it's just keeping the problem alive. Doomscrolling or watching videos all day is far from healthy. I wouldn't see a problem with watching videos if you could just lay it down whenever and do something else, but what is being described is not this. Now, it's okay to not always be productive, we also need downtime, but it's the approach to that that matters.

I once invested into a memecoin that was well marketed, and made around 2k in 1 hour, with 250 invested. After that hour it already dumped again, I got out around the right time. My strat was to take out initial investment and just let the rest run to be safe. I only invested in this because a friend of mine is good with crypto, otherwise I wouldn't even have touched memecoins lol.

For me it's mostly reason 3. Back in the day games were made for entertainment, but now it's just like the rest, a business. Most games nowadays are just made to be profitable and that comes at the cost of our enjoyment.

If I think back of a game like League of Legends, it used to be so fun back in 2013-2014. It was so casual, you could play different builds and have fun with friends. Now it's just focussed on esports and business stuff, the entire casual side is just no more. I heard that they even reduced the chatting to a minimum, so that people can't be toxic anymore, so that the people getting flamed would not quit the game and instead kept buying skins.

I also agree with that we grew up. Life is just different now, we got responsibilities. Back in my middle school time, I could always just go home and boot up League of Legends with some friends, but now I find myself studying instead.

Gaming just feels different now...

Well I know that the combat system looks really fun, you have a parry system and you need to dodge, bosses can get difficult (I love a challenge personally) and the combat also has an echo system, you can basically have a chance to claim the soul of an enemy and use them in battle (basically like a pokemon, you transform into them though).

As in content I haven't looked that much into it yet, so you might need to look that up yourself.

I did 30 pulls on the 100% banner for her. Then I did 1 pull on the standard banner and got her in 1 immediately. No clue what to do now with the other banner haha. Day 3 new player btw.

I really love mag. Build around her second ability and bring the latron incarnon. Cast the ability on an enemy, shoot the latron incarnon bullets in there and watch the whole room explode, it's the most fun thing ever.

Basically will destroy any content in the game, plus with arcane aegis you are also pretty invincible.
