When my core is in really good shape it feels different, like I have an inner corset holding me up

I absolutely love Susie. She’s a super accomplished ultra runner but she’s very low key. Most of her runs are structured as endurance style runs, with a few mild speed pushes or hills here and there. She doesn’t talk much, and when she does she mostly chats about running.

Bradley gives me so much secondhand embarrassment I can’t sit through an entire class of his lol

They don’t really; most people just don’t understand the differences between the roles involved in the creative process. It’s never one person who does all these things, it’s a team of people

She’s a creative director, which means she would have given them a vision and overseen and approved the creation of the design. It doesn’t mean she does all the intricacies of the design work herself.

Also the interns being mad they asked her to do things and her feeling awkward about it when she has 30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A LAWYER

Laser doesn’t leave scabs, though you might have some swelling after

This is why I cannot ride with Denis lmao it gives me the ick

It’s more the second one for me! I don’t really see him as drill seargenty -  he’s so positive. Also love to do his rides with riders in studio bc his energy is off the charts.

Alex!! He gets a rep as being hard but I think it’s undeserved- he generally calls much lower resistance than other instructors. And he is ridiculously motivating.

Dr. Evan Rieder at Weiser Skin. He will not upsell you on anything and will treat around specifically what you are asking for.

I am keeping mine...I came to this decision after spending 12+ hours in an archive searching for the first name of a "Mrs. Samuel Clark." 🙄

Interestingly and anecdotally, most of my non-NYC friends have changed their names, and most of my NYC friends have kept theirs.

I take them outside based on playlists and just ignore all the callouts.

ETA: "More music" works really well for the British classes.

Honestly not just suburban folk!

I’m from Central MA but I’ve lived in NYC for the past 15 years…and I could.not.convince. my coworkers that Worcester wasn’t a dangerous shithole. One of them was afraid to get off on of the exits there!

It was like bro this is exactly what people think of NY and you know that’s not true so….super frustrating.

Deffo check with an allergist.

FWIW, while I don't have the same issues you've listed, I get really emotional/overwhelmed and feel like I'm going to cry when I'm pushing really hard in the heat. I take it as a signal from my body to back off, so I wonder if that is what was happening to you there.

But definitely check with an allergist! Bodies are dumb, and exercise-induced urticaria/anaphylaxis/asthma are real things.

I mean, Steven Tyler ADOPTED a 16 year old girl so he could have sex with her and they just did an Aerosmith series.

Oh that’s great!

I realized I had a typo - meant it might be helpful to run larger races (like 10k plus) where you are less likely to win in case it takes some mental pressure off!

Nah, I agree. Like the dresses show off their bodies, and they are all fit and hot and it shows, but the dresses themselves…meh. Not that interesting.

Like Lindsay’s looks like a toga, Paige’s is just there. Gabby and Ciara look great but I’m just kinda over the naked look.

Love Amanda’s look!

Danielle is giving MOB or awkward 1950s casino worker.

Are you running small races that you would have a reasonable expectation of winning/placing in? Ex, a 19:30 F might win/place a lot of local 5ks but isn't going to come anywhere near placing in, say, an NYRR 5k.

It might be helpful to win larger races where you wouldn't expect to land in the top amount of finishers - then there's no way the race isn't just for fun!

I've only done the hydrafacial at Great Jones Spa but it was excellent - and they have a little pool you can hang out in before/after your treatment.
