Just about any structure related mod is incredibly risky unfortunately.
I use a few, and I primarily build my important stuff on vanilla structures, and use the modded structures for more superfluous stuff.
Gigas are always going to be many times stronger than Rexes.
Unless the Giga you have is an extremely low level wild tame, it’s always going to be better than a Rex.
Nah, mega cheese is the rolling sparks ash of war on the perfume weapons.
Legitimately does like 30k damage in a single cast. Completely busted.
Outside of that I’d say anything’s fair game, the perfumes are going to be inevitably nerfed into the ground.
Oh yeah, 19% giving it a 10/10 is totally believable
Yeah I have that one installed, it’s an awesome mod for both Gigas and Rexes
Godwyn fans try to be literate challenge: IMPOSSIBLE.
(He is the only Demigod to have died a true death at the hand of the rune of death. He’s dead as fuck, it’s just his lifeless body spreading death root at will. He has no will or control left and no one can revive him)
Giga seriously needs a complete TLC/overhaul.
They’re by far one of the ugliest/jankiest models of all the Dino’s in game. Even their walk animation is just so dumb, they’re practically cross legged while walking or running.
I don’t build pens for oceans tames, it’s just not worth it. For safety, I have one water tame I overload with stone so it can’t move, then set a pack of 4-5 sharks on follow to that creature. Then set those creatures to aggressive.
Anything that comes in range will get shredded by the shark pack, then when they’re done they’ll just go back to the creature they’re set to follow. It’s a good auto defense system underwater before you get access to turrets.
Never had any issues with this system, I create a small pen for breeding ocean tames to protect the new born babies from the aggressive sharks, but for the most part it’s just such a colossal waste of time to build a pen for these creatures.
There’s no boss in the game that “wants” you to change your build. Radahn in no way “forces” you to use a shield with poke to win. If that was true, every one would be beating him with shied poke, but news flash, not everyone has to do that.
You can’t. There are numerous examples of people who can.
Your inability to figure out how to do it is not an issue with the game. You’re confusing the concept of “playing aggressive” with “having 6 second openings where the boss is doing nothing and I can attack with immunity”.
Playing aggressive is capitalizing on every possible opening for damage. Some bosses have moves where you do have to wait longer for that opening, but the openings are always there. And they’re a boss fight, they should be putting immense pressure on the player so that it’s difficult to determine where those openings are.
None of this has changed in Elden Ring, and if anything there are significantly greater options for combos and playing aggressively in this game than any other in the series.
Depends on your level.
If you can soft cap dex (60 or 80) it’s better to go keen. If you’re early game or like sub level 100, it’s better to go for the elemental infusions.
You can play aggressively.
There are multiple openings and the jump attack invulnerability frames allow you to get free jump slams on a variety of moves.
Players literally just forget you can jump, and that’s it’s a viable option in most fights
The armor increases all damage dealt, and taken.
The weapon increases damage taken during attacks, but increases your hyper armor.
Yeah, when I first played through DS3, I didn’t die more than 4 times to any boss in the game besides Midir, precisely for that reason. You don’t need to pay attention or time anything, just roll lol. I was using the base war axe for the entire game too, rolls were just so busted in that game.
I hate to be the type that just says “skill issue” but that’s literally just what it is. I struggled hard on the DLC, it took me like 3 days playing off and on to beat Radahn, Messmer took me like 5 hours, I was not just breezing through it. But ultimately all of my struggles were just because I had a hard time figuring out the move sets, I did eventually figure them out, but the time it took was all on me, not the game.
Everybody wants to be able to walk away from the “hard game” and say “oh yeah that was fucking easy because I’m so damn good”, and if they are unable to snag that clout it’s a bad game with bad design lol.
I’m legitimately convinced like 90% of people playing these games just suck at them and cannot cope with failure.
The fact of the matter is that these openings and opportunities to counter exist, and there are lots of them. You can go to YouTube and look up any one of the bosses being no hit in multiple ways by multiple people. If their combos were as awful and long you are suggesting, people couldn’t do that.
But you know what? They do lol. The bosses are designed to punish your mistakes heavily, that’s part of the game design. If you do not learn from those mistakes, thats on you, not the game. Because there is always something to learn from every mistake.
None of the bosses in Elden Ring have 24/7 combos.
People saying “oh my God, the bosses have 15 hit combos, I never get to attack” that’s not true lol. It’s simply just not true, you just haven’t been able to figure out where those opening are yet.
It’s always the games fault when a player can’t figure something out, not the game of course. The precious special baby boy could not possibly be in a position where it takes them more than 5 tries to completely download a bosses move set.
And like, why would you WANT to be able to figure out every opening in under 5 tries. That would mean the fights just too damn simple.
Rennala is actually quite tough if you’re running a pure caster build.
For physical builds she’s a piece of cake because you can bum rush her and stun lock her to death, but for any non physical damage types she has very high resistance. Especially for early game caster builds, she’s actually kind hard.
I’ve fought her in early game (sub level 50) both ways, physical vs magic, and she was way harder for the magic build.
It’s because Elden Ring has garnered to broadest collection of schizo numb nuts imaginable and these people have zero ability to reason about their opinion.
People were seriously saying that the character art of Leda was Miquella, immediately after the final story trailer where they show miquellla several times.
People were theorizing that Marika, in that trailer, was Miquella.
There’s so many “lore theorists” that just say the God damn stupidest things because they’re stupid people that can’t read.
That’s a fair trade for never having to see Dark Bead ever again.
The visuals and costume design are really what kept me hooked, there’s a lot of great stuff going on. Especially appreciate the design of the orcs, they really nailed the look for the baddies.
That said, the plot is just terrible. I did enjoy the dwarven segments, was by far the most interesting part of the series to me, but the stuff with the Hobbits was so mind numbingly dull.
Are some of the bosses bullshit or unfair, yeah, and that’s kind of the point.
Every single boss can be reasonably learned and no hit with enough time and patience. The fact that there’s some dude out there beating bosses at soul level 1 with no upgrades on day one of the bosses being released means they’re possible.
Do they have cheap shots and bigger combos than the player? Yeah, they’re a fucking boss/demigod, they SHOULD be stronger/more menacing than the player character.
I feel Iike people got so fat and happy with base game elden ring letting you run around 2-3 shotting bosses with an ultra optimized build and forgot that bosses are supposed to be able to kill you if you’re not careful.
This boss is fucking awesome y’all just suck at playing the game.
(It took me three days to beat him)
Using a shotgun gun at all is a total waste.
With the amount of health the creatures in there have you have to mag dump an entire capped damage shotgun to kill one, which is just too damn slow to be worth wasting the ammo.
You can run it with a single imprinted Rex with a good saddle, preferably two for a mate boost.
Rexes fit through the majority of the cave, you’ll have to hop off to get through the narrow passage way halfway through, but if you pack a foundation, generator, and gas you can pop a cryo fridge halfway through to move the Rexes on through the cave.
I have been stuck on the cave of the strong for the past month. Here goes hopefully my last attempt. Wish me luck 🫡
