What a quick response! Thanks. Definitely going to take some digging to figure this out.

We are definite on early July trip to Naxos for 7 + days and saw your note... and have not picked where on island yet. Little background info: we are both active 70. 2 yrs ago had fabulous multi week Athens; Napflio; Zakynthos; Milos; Santorini trip and now we want to hunker down. We like beaches and the small town vibe but we will have a car so it won't matter. So where do you think will be best part of island? Hotel - B & B - Airbnb? Any input you provide would be welcome. Thanks, Jack C.

You mentioned reach out for tips... 2 yrs ago we did terrific trip (Athens; Napflio; Zakynthos; Milos and Santorini) with more or less high end accommodations. This time we are looking for a 3 week trip with Naxos and two other quiet islands with charm and beaches. Plant ourselves say a week on each with a modest budget. Any thoughts?

We did this very thing. Hired an enthusiastic great driver who brought us from Napflio on our way to the Zakynthos ferry in Killini. We hit all the spots you mentioned in one day in a very relaxed fashion. (Lucked out by coincidence it was National Museum free admission day so we saved considerable $$ at all the stops). After a lifetime of reading and hearing about places like Corinth, etc... put it all in context. Do it!

Hello... this is an aside from the beautiful pix shown here... we will be in CR for first two weeks of March... should we bring CR currency with us or US dollars the way to go when not using credit card - travelers input welcome

Viator has alway worked well for us in other travels so that looks like the route to go. We did thake PuraVidaJr's advice and secured tickets to MAP.

Excursions

Spending 2 wks beginning of March... Arenal; Monteverde; week at Manual Antonio. As far as excursions go should we book now in advance or can we wait until there? Also any can't miss recommendations for these areas - input appreciated.

Considering a trip to St. Andres Island first week in December... anybody been there and thoughts on whether we should go - or avoid?

Very helpful comments. Considering a first week December trip including including either Azores or Cape Verde with layover in Porto. Any thoughts pro/con, suggestions, on these for a 10 day trip that month?

Also I agree with others... Moorea is awesome... 4x into the caldera is a must.

Recently stayed at Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts... overwater bungalow... while expensive simply beyond words to describe... fresh new feel to the entire complex... Definitely buy the Air Tahiti Pass and island hop.

Hello... been considering Malta. You seemed to like your visit. Any recommendations or suggestions for first timers?

I know there have been travel insurance discussions prior to this... but am always uncertain whether to take it on. We are going to Europe BOS-EDI 4/25 traveling through Europe and returning ATH-BOS 5/30. All bookings either Platinum or Reserve card. Insurance coverage is $1,200 (7 Corners) and we are seniors. That's a lot of $$ on a $15K trip. Any advice would be most welcome.
