Ok so let’s phrase this another way. Who out there is going to fight for hardworking citizens and families who contribute to society the most by paying their taxes and not bleeding the state while also providing care for those who need it most. Be it the elderly, long term illness or genuine disability including mental health. To create a society where we can walk down the streets without fear of mugged, stabbed or verbally abused. To have nice public spaces and outdoor areas that are protected from vandalism.

I’m not asking for a lavish lifestyle with brand new cars every couple of years or multi flash holidays every year.

Just enough to be able to live comfortably within means.. go on a nice family holiday once a year and put some funds away to put the children through college when they are older.

I don’t think that’s much to ask for after working for 20 years as an adult with both parents having put themselves through college and working full time jobs while raising a family.

I also am very grateful to wake up every morning with a roof over my head and to not be in a war zone and that my children are healthy and happy.

You’re not the person I would be referring to if you were on jobseekers once when you needed it. There are genuine people who need it who find themselves out of employment and they should be entitled to it and be able to provide for their family in the short term until they are back on their feet again. It’s the people who repeatedly abuse the system by claiming every hand out from the tax payer without ever making an effort to find employment or contribute to society that I take issue with.

This election time is the first time we have really had to listen to far right ideology in this country blaming all immigrants for the countries failures.

We would not be able to open our hospital doors or put food on our tables without the hardworking immigrants in this country.
