If you were at the parade this morning, did you hear any jeers or cheers? It was pretty silent at the start of the parade when the likes of Jyoti, Danielle and Pierre (and his wife for some reason?) Went by. I'm not sure what I was expecting but hardly more than a polite clap.
Was that the vibes all around the route?
Driving is fun and all but flights to Denver are inexpensive and tickets at Coors are dirt cheap. Keep that in mind for next year!

Join in. High school is what you make of it. There are so many clubs, sports and groups and spirit events. Check some out. You'll meet great people.
Don't mess around in class. Do the work in class. Get help when you need it. It's easy to fall behind. The level of work required is more than Gr 9, but it is manageable.
Be ready to advocate for yourself. Teachers will have 200+ students. Don't let your stuff be what falls through the cracks. Respectfully advocate for yourself if something doesn't look right with marks and don't act like a victim and don't leave things until the last minute.

You get that those were tweets and such her coms team pulled and had her read, not her actual suggestions. Same with the drink beer, not water. Someone decided to try and lighten the mood, and people couldn't pay attention long enough to get the context.
