Same, and where I’m at there’s pretty much unlimited potential to move up. If you don’t feel like moving up your pay is still going up regardless.
I have guaranteed raises, yearly cost of living adjustments, pension, retirement, work stops when I leave the building and I’ve seen people practically come to blows with management and walk in the next day like nothing happened. Not leaving any time soon.

USPS basically has three retirement income streams. Pension, retirement and TSP which has a match up to 5% which also gives the option of contributing to a Roth IRA. If you play it right you can retire very well off.

This is it. I’m a musician and I say every day that I would gladly take a one hit wonder, get the bag and just live on it as best as possible doing whatever else I want to in the meantime.

If you call them and they say your original report is cleared then you’re probably fine.
You can either request that they send you a report when it clears or you can call them and ask for the results of the initial report you filled out.
Trying to get a response from them is an exercise in futility. If you initially completed a GIS report for the CCA position and it cleared you should be fine. For me, when I went back to the fingerprinting location I basically said “I don’t have an appointment but this is the deadline. I’ve already completed “xyz” for the other position. Am I good?” And they were able to tell me. If they didn’t send another GIS it most likely is because they don’t need you to do it again.
This happened to me and YMMV but I went the plant which is where I had my fingerprinting done and they were able to pull up my file and told me that my GIS was still good and just transferred over to the new position. Try this if you are able. It was frustrating because on my end it looked like I had to redo it without being able to. It should be good for 90 days I think.
People would do this when I used to bartend. My favorite thing when I wouldn’t know their “usual” was that they’d say “well, the other guy knows it” to which I could say “do I look like the other guy? Have you ever seen me before?”
Still use my head as a power amp into a 4x10 but everything is controlled and coming through an HX stomp. It’s enough on stage to feel right but the stomp makes everything sound identical to the night before.
