The analysis of the SRF thus far has been very good. They predicted the rise of MK, the faltering support for the EFF and the ANC coming in low. This option makes a lot of sense for everyone involved

In their press conference at the IEC operations center, Fikile Mbalula answered that the ANC has no plan to remove Ramaphosa and they remain steadfast as leadership.
According to him they are engaging with all parties, but they are not willing to negotiate with other parties on the basis of the removal of Ramaphosa.
I am sincerely hoping for an agreement for the DA to take the lead and govern unimpeded. I also think the dissolution of the Johannesburg city council will be on the cards.

If the ANC coalesces with EFF/MK they will be signing their own death warrants. Imagine two children fighting over a toy and breaking it in half.
The DA is life support for them. They are still dying but it will be a dignified slower death.
From the ANCs perspective, it will buy them time to recover and time for the PA/EFF/MK to all implode.

The problem is that you can never predict these things, and the ANC has made many serious miscalculations in the past 15 years. I don't know what will happen but I would hazard a guess that:

Our voter turn out is at an all time low, which is a reflection of the dire state of affairs. People feel disillusioned because all they ever hear is promise without improvement. They are in an abusive relationship with a kleptocratic government. They don't believe things can improve and they are constantly reminded of what the ANC did for them and how there can be no other options.
If you consider that, you cannot say that South Africans will always vote the same way. They have withheld their votes.
What is happening right now is something to be celebrating. What it represents is a rebalance of power that can have a number of positive outcomes. Don't despair. All is not lost.
There is up until now nothing like meat for me. I think many vegans and vegetarians have less of a taste for it so they don't understand why people can't just switch it off.
