And just to add to this, from my own experience, relationships with parents can do a u-turn once you’ve moved out.
I guess it stopped us overheating when on the hunt. We sweat, so much better than other animals at regulating temp.
Hair, fur, feathers serve lots of other purposes on other animals (camouflage, flight, waterproof etc) that we just didn’t need.
I did this when I was 30 with my childhood home and just happened to be in the area.
The owners were really nice and gave me a tour, it brought back lots of memories and gave me closure on that part of my life.
I’ve been considering it. The only thing stopping me is that I have a team of 7 that wouldn’t be able to, I would feel guilty, it’s a luxury I can afford and a bit privileged and I wonder if they would resent me for it.

I’m a morning person, he’s an evening person. If either dares wake the other up, it’s just not worth thinking about.
I sleep with TV on, he sleeps in silence. It’s perfect really. And we both get to personalise our rooms how we like it.
