It would be helpful for the masses to know what the issues are with HK&B.

Sorry that your bag was stolen. For future travel you should put Apple AirTags or something equivalent in each piece of luggage that you check or carryon. It can aid in the tracking of the items.

The cost of holding inventory is a deterrent and that’s why retailers will do sales, markdowns, vendor returns, etc to clear it out and free working capital.

You actually fly this route monthly and still can’t decide for yourself what the best seat option is? Order the fish for dinner.

There has been no change in payment timing, there are no “blocks“ and nothing you wrote - including “a draw is irrelevant since it’s against revenue” makes any sense. Just stop posting about stuff that you don’t have first hand knowledge of.

Recently retired partner after 35 years with the firm.

You invest capital into the firm. Think of it as a buy-in, although I don’t like that term. It’s like having skin in the game. The capital is returned when you leave/retire.

Like any other company, the firm needs funds to operate. Those funds come from both partner capital (a partnership’s version of equity) and external financing. Having sufficient capital also ensures that the firm is able to borrow funds at a reasonable interest rate.

The left angle ones are better.

Thanks for confirming that I’m correct in saying you’re wrong.

It depends on your role in the firm. Some are in more of a sales role in which case sales drive your units. Most partners are expected to not only sell, but also deliver (meaning run the projects/engagements) in addition to performance against other firm initiatives.

I’ve had more than a handful of flights where no hot towels were provided and I neither received an apology nor compensation.

I guess I’ll complain next time it happens or if the towels are only half wet, soaking wet or cold. /s

Hey Monkey, stop throwing 💩.

No such thing as a 10 year free loan (or interest free loan if that’s what you meant). You earn interest on the capital that you pay in to the firm - either in cash or financed through the firm - and you pay interest on the loan (12 year amortization). The interest rate the firm pays you on the invested capital is a greater than what you pay on the loan, so it helps offset some of the principal payments that you have to make.

😂 Where are you getting this nonsense? There are no “blocks” and partners are paid more frequently than every 6 months. There is a bi-weekly draw and quarterly or so distributions (which get progressively larger as the year progresses) with a small amount held back and paid out approx 6 months after the fiscal year end. The distributions are aligned with the timing of when estimated taxes are due .

Boredom perhaps if you don’t have hobbies or know how to occupy yourself. I never felt the need to work to fulfill a sense of purpose.

I occasionally partake in a sample or two.

And hopefully you can catch a Rakuten 10% (or higher) offer. It’s currently at 2% but sometimes goes higher. Just don’t wait too long to order as shipping delays can mess up the ability to use the credit.

Seen it countless times. Used to occur more frequently than it does now.

Amex didn’t “facilitate” anything.
