Tree beard is a good option. I would have also pitched Elrond whom im pretty sure deals a LOT in politics and studies societies and acts as a sort of wise mediator when needed. He also seems very irritated by politics, one of those necessary annoyances.
That’s an interesting rule. It reminds me of playing Smash Bros Melee, the ice climbers would sometimes get separated but they would mirror one another. What one twin did the other twin did. If one twin got hit points so did the other. I HATED that. At least if one twin died the other did not.
Perhaps it’s because elven twins are cool 😎
Oml haha, perfect! Did you have prior knowledge of Elladan or Elrohir or did you just sorta think up the name and were like “yeah… that’s sounds nice 😌”? I can’t tell you how many times teenage me thought I really did something original but turns out THE mastermind that is Tolkien had already come up with it lmao.
Lmao we called him cornpuffs and smushy-puff-face
I think Legolas might be OB’s favorite role. If you look at all the behind the scenes of the lotr and hobbit films, he seemed to genuinely have fun. It’s also THE role that made him popular. I’m okay with him being Legolas one last time. While his role in the hobbit was somewhat unfortunate due to some of the director choices, I still enjoyed him as Legolas. Tech has come a long way so I think he can still pull it off.
Yes to the cottagecore. I don’t identify as an elven creature but sometimes I wish I could be one.
Thank you! My thoughts on David Day is that I enjoy reading other people’s opinions and interpretations on Tolkien and I found his writing interesting but I personally felt he was writing more about his own headcannon instead of giving factual information. I would agree with what other people say about not bothering to read it. The books are fairly expensive and unless you find them cheap I wouldn’t say it’s worth it. The artwork in it is pretty though.
It’s been awhile since I have read them though and would have to reread them again to give an in depth opinion.
You shoot and you score! Not a bullseye but very close. I am most definitely a Tolkienite. I have hosted a Bridgerton themed tea party; however, we did not watch the show. I’m a female in my early to mid twenties and I do thrift often.
Spot on! I have read a majority of my books at least once and the ones I have not yet read, I fully intend to read. I am definitely a bit dorky and am in more than one fandom (primarily lotr though).
Noooooo don’t do my boi like that lmaoooo
No, they don’t have that but they definitely have taverns haha.
I’m imagining Gimli got to Starbucks via teleportation to Earth, much like Thor did. ANOTHER smashes glass
Yeah but Gimli may not have known the name on the tag belonged to her because I seriously doubt name tags are a thing in middle earth. I just can’t picture dwarves running around the mines with name tags lol.
And Gollum. There was also a Gollum bot.
Yes, it is pretty funny. It reminds me of a time when I was in a play set in the year 1901 and some of my cast mates and I were calling our shoes things like Abe Lincoln 500s or Ben Franklin 2000s. I called mine Betsy Ross 600s.
If it were not so hot all the time where I’m at, I would wear my cloak daily. It’s like a fashionable raincoat and blanket. I actually used to bring one to college because it was always an icebox in one of my classes.
Touché. Capes coming back in style would make my year one hundred percent better. I need it to happen. I’m going to manifest it.
Agreed! I actually love this style of shoes and I’m tired of people making fun of them saying stuff like “grandpappy shoes” or “1 2 buckle my shoes” and “ye olde steppas”. While it can be funny to label it as that it’s not funny when people like myself wear historical clothing out and get mocked for it then like two years down the line those same people are like “yeah it’s fire I’ve always loved the style” after some mildly famous certified yapper acts like they did something original when we historical fanatics have been dressing like this for years.
I hope it does come back in style but I’m also hoping it won’t be one of those fads if you know what I mean. I want it to be normal not just a short live phase or something.
That’s one scary drive but a heartwarming story, I’m so glad you got healing after your trauma. Music does wonders to the soul. If you haven’t done this already, I recommend you try your best to let Tamino know of your wonderful experience. You never know when a performing artist also needs words of encouragement and accolades to boost their own morale. Thank you for sharing your story.
You look absolutely stunning! I thought it was rather autumn themed, if you ever do an autumn shoot, I believe it would be an even more fabulous photoshoot! Brava!
