It sounds like the associate is doing a poor job of sabotaging you.  Others already see it.  So just worry about doing good work, and if you can’t stand it, then get another job.

That's not a lateral move. That's an upward climb. I haven't really seen it outside of a discovery attorney going to Axiom and then later going to an associate position.

I’m a mid-40s dad from SoCal who works from home so take this with a big grain of salt.  I wear a lot of Icebreaker merino tees with Lululemon shorts.  And Darn Tough wool socks.

Sounds about right.  As someone who gets paid by the hour, the chore of entering time is more rewarding.

You can make alternative investments from an IRA.  Wonder if there is a way to gamble from your IRA as well.  Probably not retroactive though…
