Then he tries to convince himself “I don’t want no problems”

Yup and for many here who may not know, that SDR setting is going to give you the best picture. Let your TV handle HDR on its own, not Apple TV.

I really wonder why there’s such a range of experiences with flight cancellations. For every story like this there’s another where United offers a $25 food voucher and a kick in the butt.

As someone who would be charged a higher rate than most, I actually support this initiative. Right now I’m on the dreaded CA FAIR plan and already pay an insane amount for terrible insurance. Even if I paid 2-3X what most other people pay on private insurance, I’d save money. But I don’t even have that option.

I save them for the imaginary opportunity to redeem them all for an epic trip at some crazy promotional rate for where I will want to go when I want to go. I have a crazy amount of Ultimate Rewards points.

Suffice to say, I should really be less stingy with spending them.

Their chicken pizza masala is so weird but I love it

Unfortunately having a United credit card does not give you that benefit. It’s having United Premier status that does.

Walk a mile or so from Costco or prepay for parking to ensure a spot. Really the only two sane options imo.

I WILL NEVER GET OVER IT.

but more seriously, I know, you’re right. It just hurt to lose a top pitching prospect for half a year of a guy who simply took our offense from abysmal to mediocre.

That is the short-sighted irony in all this. This whole thing is going to spark a new wave of extremism, and the US is will be less safe because of it.

There’s only one reason the Warriors would ever draft Bronny: to get Lebron James. I don’t think they need to extend a workout invite to LeBron.

I’m still not over the Zack Wheeler for Carlos Beltran trade.

I totally agree. Bardo is just good enough for me to go back when I want that vibe, but it's never that high on my list. That said, I'm usually going to eat as well as drink.

Parche is awesome.

Silver is all I know but it's not at all negligible to me. Boarding at Group 2 is pretty nice. It's a little stressful but I manage to snag a E+ aisle at check-in more often than not. And it's 50/50 but getting checked bag to come out among the first is nice too. I haven't sniffed top 15 on the upgrade list and assume I never will, but the other things take the edge off of traveling just a little bit. Funny enough, a baggage tag is the only thing I don't have - being at a United hub I'm scared of all the 1K's patting me on the head and thinking "aw that's cute".

Welcome!

I preferred the pimento version over the current in n out wannabe

Billionaire happy enough being a billionaire and taking less profit per restaurant for the sake of a functional business that everyone loves. Margin goes down but volume goes up. Everyone stays happy.

Smaller loan at higher rate is not necessarily better than bigger loan and lower rate. Depends on how much it costs to get you to that lower rate loan, and how much lower the interest rate is. And how long you plan to hold the loan of course.

You can play around with calculators to see this. For us, our break even point was about 3.5 years to buy a quarter point. All upside after that.
