crater lake & lassen mid june?

hi all! currently planning on visiting crater lake and lassen volcanic nps the week of June 17 and am wondering how accessible the roads might be. i've been trying to track on their websites, and it looks like lassen has made pretty good progress clearing the road, though i'm not sure what to anticipate for this time next month. i know the crater lake website says june or july to open but the snowpack was also pretty heavy this year. any thoughts on what to expect from people who live in the area or have travelled there in june would be appreciated!

Thank you! Appreciate your insights.

Lottery decision help

Hi all! I have a rather fortunate decision to make but need some help to make it. Both my partner and I won the Enchantments lottery, but he won for June 15 for Core Zone, and I won for August 15 for Snow Zone. We've been trying to decide which date to do, as we know it can be snowy and rainy still in June but this season has definitely had a milder winter so the snowpack may be low by then. Also, with August, I feel like with the low snowpack there might be some wildfires going on and the trail might be hazy. Plus, we can't decide how to factor the zones we got into this decision. Any thoughts or advice are welcome! TIA

Solo new grad

Hey all. Just wanted to speak about my current situation and hear some thoughts from some experienced PTs. I graduated last year and have been working at my first job as a pediatric PT in a small OP clinic for the last 6 months. I moved across the country for this job with the assumption that I'd be working with another PT, a PTA and then lots of OT/SLPs. However, while I was on my way moving across the country, they called me saying that the other PT quit and that it would be just me and the PTA (and OT/SLPs). They said that they'd be working hard to find another PT to help support me ASAP and only just now hired someone that starts next month. I took on a really complex caseload all on my own and have felt like I've been drowning to learn how to help these kiddos based on my school notes and what I can find on the internet. My hourly rate is not that great currently, and I'm wondering if it sounds reasonable to ask for a pay increase considering how much work I've had to take on over the last 6 months practically running a department as a new grad? Also, would you have waited around 6 months for them to find someone if you were a new grad in this situation? I feel like I should've left sooner because I'm already feeling heavy burnout

you were fantastic! just listened to your ep and it's really great too!

you're a gem. i've been wondering what's wrong with my camera for months until i found this post. i didn't notice the +/- button stuck under my camera's case, and sure enough, clicking it a bunch of times fixed my camera!

obtaining temporary license

hi all! i just graduated, passed my boards, accepted a job and have applied for my PT license in Washington state. i heard that WA is one of the slowest states when it comes to approving licenses, so i'm looking to obtain a temporary one. i can't, however, find much information online as to how to obtain a temporary license. how do i go about applying for one, and can i still apply for a temp license even if i've already applied for my regular license? thanks!

hi all! i'm a new grad and just got my first job offer for outpatient peds in the seattle area. they're offering $39/hour. just wondering if this salary would be sufficient to match the cost of living in the area and whether or not it's normal for entry-level peds PTs. thanks!

i took it in south jersey!

unfortunately it seems that way :(

if you look at the times that people posted from previous tests (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iGTmhS3Ix33zHm83LmT8VCp4nkrK4kcXyMbygdt1oY8/htmlview#) they seem to roll out the results over a few hours. hope someone hears soon!

will they actually send an email or do we have to keep checking?

back and forth between refreshing this thread to see if anyone has their result and the fsbpt website. so anxious

took it on tuesday. took 5 practice tests beforehand and passed only my last 2 but by a good bit. felt that the exam was challenging and picky like others are saying. each section had harder questions than the last, as i remember feeling somewhat confident during my break and then terrible by the end. my classmates that took the exam in april said they received their results after 8 days, so i'm hoping we all hear mid next week. also, they have previously curved poor performing questions, so hopefully this version will be one of those where we can pass with a much lower score.

because the notes take way longer to write up and it's mentally draining to do multiple per day

but im thinking of

they actually counted up until about november 6th this year
