I have often wondered how are 2 4-6 oz cups of water enough for some people on international flights. I must drink 2L+ on those same routes (bring my own).

Might be tough, when i tried last year just because you see saga class on the alaska awards farrs, doesnt mean its available on the phone.

Be ready to spend a while on the phone with the rep stepping through dates and being told its not available.

Those west coast routes out of LAX suffer too. I long for the days of LAX direct to BOS, AUS, JFK, OGG

I would even take connection to those through SJC... now its all through SFO, SEA, PDX.

Whatever meager saving you get when you are young, put into SPY... get comfortable with that and sell when you need to spend.

Being able to drive standard has saved me many hours of time waiting for rental cars overseas. Ita not much, but it feels like it has maximized a couple of vacations.

A 50 mile commute for 3 years got me to switch to auto... and I was doing it in a car with an easy clutch.

I miss it for quick around the town drives though

The room I stayed in was certainly big enough for 3. So wouldn't have felt cramped. That's all I can vouch for as we didn't test out a sleeper couch or 2 bed option.
