If he was a FA, would ANY team give him a 2 year, $54m contract with a $30m player option?

$84 mil for being objectively one of the worst starters in the league last year. Hell no. That's a negative asset.

Klay not listed among ESPN's top 20 free agentsDiscussion

It's an insider story. tl;dr is Klay is not among the top 20 ranked free agents. Follows the pattern we've been seeing of A) no advanced models liking what Klay has been doing and (more importantly) B) no advanced models liking what Klay can contribute in is age 34+ seasons.

Criteria:

Let's take a look at this year's top players available by my multiyear SCHOENE player projections, which factor in performance over the past three seasons and the development of similar players at the same age as well as utilizing adjusted plus-minus data from Krishna Narsu to incorporate value not captured by the box score.

Rankings:

  1. LeBron James: 24.4
  2. Paul George: 23.3
  3. Tyrese Maxey: 21.6
  4. Immanuel Quickley: 20.9
  5. James Harden: 18.4
  6. De'Anthony Melton: 17.2
  7. Pascal Siakam: 16.6
  8. OG Anunoby: 13.8
  9. DeMar DeRozan: 13.8
  10. Malik Monk: 12.6
  11. Nic Claxton: 12.1
  12. Tobias Harris: 11.9
  13. Gary Trent Jr.: 11.8
  14. Gary Payton II: 11.8
  15. D'Angelo Russell: 11.6
  16. Miles Bridges: 11.6
  17. Buddy Hield: 11.5
  18. Tyus Jones: 11.2
  19. Isaiah Hartenstein: 11.1
  20. Markelle Fultz: 9.2

Yep, Klay somehow made all of last season about himself. Pouting on the bench when he was playing like ass, pouting on the bench IN WINS when the young guys got opportunities, defiantly sparring with coaches and media, shooting us out of games, etc.

He was a gigantic distraction. Klay fan or not, any sensible person has got to agree.

Hi all, never leased a car, but am inspired after lurking this sub. Went to my local dealer in NorCal and got this offer for a iX lease: 2025 xdrive 50, $95k MSRP, $941 monthly, $6966 drive off

Is this a good deal? Would appreciate help deciphering all these terms all well! Salesman said he added the $9900 national rebate along with the $4050 suggested dealer's contribution. Is the $7500 EV credit included as well? I don't see it as a line item here.

Update: off the advice from every here, I got it down to $855 monthly, $3000 upfront. Best $600 bucks I ever spent for the broker! Thanks sub

It could be worse. Imagine if it was your only job (as it is for most of those laid off)

Agreed, people don't get this. It's not about tinkering here and there and picking up an additional 3 or 4 wins against other shitty teams. It's about actually getting better and leap frogging those ahead of you. And to do that we need a megaton type of trade (which we don't have the assets for).

That 4-19 stat is damning. How many teams in the west could the Warriors actually win a 7 game series over? I can't see it.

Yeah I lost count of the amount of times he chucks a three, does his one leg bouncing thing drifting into the sideline watching the klank, then mopes back up the count last

Sheesh Wiggs was unplayable for most of the season.

Yeah he's better now, but put both halves together and it adds up to a mediocre to bad season. Not someone you can rely on, especially considering his season could be over.

If Moody or Kumgina committed that foul, Kerr would bench them for the rest of eternity

Curious to see how Kerr reacts with Klay
