Yeah, I was going to suggest Bay Rum if no one else did. The one from St. Johns isn't the cheapest but it's definitely clove forward. Same for the one from Royall Lyme of Bermuda.

Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Do you think any sulfurous molecule mixed with caramel or furan-like materials (Homofuronol? Furfuranol? Levistamel?) could get close?

Unrelated tangent: Since you seen knowledgeable about sulfurous materials, maybe you help me figure out why I'm so sensitive to certain materials. Paradisamide, for example, is very sulphurous to me. I have it diluted to .1% and I can only barely pick up subtleties of tropical notes. I can better notice them while it's in a blend.

Pharaone is even worse. Also at .1%, but I'll likely need to bring that down another level. Good Scents mentions it's powerful, but doesn't seem to imply how sulfurous it is (to me). When I first got it in, I left it at 10% on a strip overnight in my basement. The next morning the entire place smelled like rotting onions, including a bunch of nearby strips I had other materials on to learn.

To me Arborvitae smells like saw dust. I've compared it to the lumber section of a hardware store before. It does have a little bit more... personality than Texas or Virginian Cedarwood. Nuances of Atlas.

So I would start with it, adding in some Cedrene to smooth it out and add in specific cedar character. Probably some actual Virginia or Texas. Then, if you still need it dustier, I would try a touch of Veramoss.

This is all theory crafting since I haven't tried to make that specific accord before. But I bet it would get you close.

The only "furan" I have is 2-Acetyl Furan which is exceptionally short-lived.

I have things with furan as part of the name, but I have very little understanding on the chemistry of it all yet. I'm still learning.

One of those materials is called Coffee Difuran which is very powerful. I have it diluted to 0.01% (I normally dilute to 10%). It's been proving very valuable as part of the core profile. It's kind of nutty and a little roasted. It's really nice but only one part of the puzzle.

I'm also working on a coffee accord. The main thing I'm finding is that many of the materials I try to add to add a roasted effect also add a lot of sweetness (Homofuronol, Levistamel, etc) but they do help get there. I've also been using Choya Raal for smokiness of a dark roast.

I think what I'm missing most atm is the very subtle fecal hint coffee can have. So I'll be getting some of those materials (Skatole and a Civet recreation) soon and seeing what happens.

I haven't tried anything sulphurous to it yet, but now that you say that it makes sense. Maybe Rhubofix or Dynascone or something.

Never even heard of the place and it was so close! I knew of Soperton, which I can see is nearby. I don't remember why I know if that place. Maybe we played them in Football or something.

This is a great one. I'd also love to get Leisure in Paradise and Sunsplosion by them.

It's also my favorite from the line.

You might like the newer Dior Homme Cologne, which is also a mostly pure lemon note. It's missing the leafy green of UTLT and it's replaced with musk.

You might also like Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Arancia di Capri which is centered around orange instead of lemon, but they feel like they are in the same ballpark.

There is L'Eau par Kenzo pour Homme which is not a realistic lemon by any stretch, but it's a light, young, watery, happy interpretation of lemon.

Oh cool! Like actually Vidalia? I grew up in Alamo, if you know that tiny place close by.

Sadly no, on any of them.

I did find a company that is selling the already made GCMS for Play Intense at a discount, but haven't pulled the trigger.

Lume Unscented has been a game changer for me.

I would start with scents that get labeled as 'short-lived' like anything from 4711 and many things by Jo Malone. It's possible you have some of the same problems I have with materials that a lot of houses use to make fragrances feel like they last longer.

Florol is also called Florosa and I think another name too. Check to make sure your shop doesn't have the other versions/brands

To me this is exactly Earl Grey & Cucumber by Jo Malone London.

Woodphoria by Boy Smells like a very luxurious hotel to me. That was immediately my first thought I had smelling it.

The Game of Thrones actor.

You're thinking of Dan Harrington.

Awesome, thanks! I'll have to go get some.
