How is this universal truth a shit post? I don't get.

Nope. That's just advice from this reddit thread. The bad advice.

How is that something I implied or relevant to the advice people have given?

Actually everyone gave the correct advice given the situation they've put themselves in. Everyone is also just pointing out this is 100% fafo.

Dude, you implied that you were going to quit if they didn't give you a higher raise--just own the position you've put yourself in. Also a 4% raise is still a 4% raise not a 10% cut. That's not how the math works. You can want a higher raise but definitely shouldn't bring inaccurate internet talking points as your negotiation tactic.

He said: Okay, bye. Basically all you can do at this point is clarify that you're getting fired if you don't quit, but they were so ready with the severance dates I don't think they care. That's not even two weeks.

Sometimes you’re with someone everything is great and you’re living your lives. Then something happens and you have absolute clarity that this person is crazy and there’s no unlearning that.

You should be thinking of escape plans tbh. The earlier you can get started the better. Go to school for something that can get you a leg up on visa applications to any other first world country. Healthcare, sciences. Etc.

I know several expats, some family some friends. They have a much better quality of life. I have a cousin that was in the navy and worked for GM after. He had the opportunity to transfer to Spain to work on renewables. Took his family having a great life.

I was looking forward to this being Titan sub 2. I feel like we could really use that kind of unity again.

Just all together meme’n on some dead rich people. It was a time.

For real, obvious corruption and bribery at the top level of Government should be life in prison or capital punishment. Immediate jail when you're under suspicion.

I mean, there's information showing that the bombings may have been motivated more by desire than necessity but the records are too murky to ever really be clear on it. So we're just sort of stuck with a very framed heroic reluctance narrative which I don't feel is near the whole picture either.

But this is a large digression from the subject at hand, which has it's own context.

My guy, the post is about an article with Lindsey Graham referencing Pearl Harbor as a justification for prison camps and using nuclear weapons on civilian populations.

It's the very beginning of the conversation that's being had here.

So calling attention to Japanese Internment camps points directly towards the callow nature of Graham's statement, as the US has clearly decided this was an immoral thing to do in retrospect to the point that we wrote legislation about it and attempted to deliver justice to those that were wronged.

Basically Graham has a decidedly immoral and anti-American sentiment behind him.

No one hates your guts. You're just very obviously trying to start an argument and it's silly.

The fact that you understand that America does bad things and good things just makes it more obvious that you're a troll so they didn't want to waste their time.

At no point did anyone say the US is objectively bad, they just pointed out a bad thing that the US has done. So for whatever reason you felt a need to attempt to counter that bad by saying 'Japan did a bad thing too!' as if one moral failing excuses the other or is retaliatory and thus fine--which is not how morality or ethics work at all.

As time passes I just feel more and more like Neil Druckmann walks around screaming: I'm the last of us guy! and sniffing his own farts.

Yeah... it's like the NiMH technology was developed in Michigan. GM bought a controlling share of the company in the 90s so they had control over the patents.

They were not about EVs being built.

He's got a weird thing going on where basically his side hair is all that's left and through some wizardry someone has swept it around in a way where Trump thinks he's convincingly not bald.

Don’t tell them I’m still saving for property before the agricultural collapse.

But what about the homeless? Those are some of the hardest people out there just surviving and it doesn't look like they have a good time at all.

Sam Harris had a ‘are we the baddies?’ Moment with the IDW. And doesn’t fuck with them anymore.

Or they are rich and have that rich person definition of work.

You can either identify your behaviors that stop you from having the life you think you want and change them.

Or you could embrace the life you have as being what you enjoy.

I accept that my other option is literally death by homelessness and I'm not about that yet.

Because we were doing big war crimes 20 years ago and they wanted to protect themselves for vacationing outside the USA in the future.
