Not across the country, but hundreds of miles.

Stay within 10mph of the limit, don't drive like an idiot, and make sure you always have a front door, and you're generally fine.

Yep. $20ish. Easy to swap, too -- just make very sure the power is off, and maybe short 'em with an insulated screwdriver if you're paranoid.

I'm sure there are $300 caps out there -- but they're not the garden-variety HVAC start/run caps.

The circuit you've built doesn't make a lot of sense. There's no ground on the right part, so nowhere for the current to go. Everything quickly charges to +12.1V. I think the simulation is getting confused, expecting a return path.

Look up "RC" circuits -- parallel and serial.

Presenters should have two buttons. One to progress the slide show, and one to go back.

And having worked as IT, put a guard on the second one.

Coase salt, isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), grip it securely and shake the heck out of it. Rinse with water and it should sparkle.

Sweet.

My go-to games are Flow Free, Sudoku, and Simon Tatham's Puzzles (mostly, Signpost).

An Osborne with a somewhat-readable screen?

Yeah, if it's at all reasonably priced.

Personally, I find the sensation of being wet unpleasant -- and if I've left the house, I've already had a shower that day, thanks.

Alan Dean Foster's Spellsinger world has l'Borean riding snakes, several meters long.

Those would be fun.

Kangaroos. And make them like Endermen -- passive until you look at them -- and then hostile, or at least "stroppy."

Yeah, she's mad at you.

The usual apology is a Churu tube (have a plate or something -- they're messy) or some Temptations treats. She'll get over it fast!

Jack Sparrow singled her out of a crowd for a little flirty back and forth.

Wouldn't be in character not to do that, honestly.

Florida, for one, doesn't have annual inspections. So you see just about anything on the road.
