All right, they're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us...they can't get away this time!
In my experience the only real prep work is scraping a small amount of the green to create a landing pad for the bridge material. Cut a piece of wire or trace material big enough to bridge the gaps and land on the pads. Put some flux on the pads and set the wire in the flux. Tin the solder tip (smaller is better imo) and quick touch the pad/bridge material. Should be a quick and easy fix. Make sure to practice first, even just wire to wire for temp and solder control.

If only there were some sort of program or website where you could type in a prompt and have a proper message generated… especially for free… that would be awesome and alleviate spelling issues in one go!
I’m really surprised more customer support programs haven’t moved into or encouraged AI usage.
Same. Masks were the worst part of the pandemic for me- not the wearing them part, but rather not being able to understand anyone because I couldn’t focus on their lips moving to help with comprehension.
I’ve been battling with the VA over this for years with no luck. Same issues you’ve described and years of JP8 exposure on the flightline (direct and a whole lot of it). Definitely sucks when they pull audiograms and say everything is totally fine. If I’m not fully focused on who’s talking, little chance I’ll understand or make sense of what is being said. The worst is any kind of social situation, like a bigger dinner or gathering. Too many people talking or sources of sound and it becomes an overstimulation, but specific to audio. I’ll hear words but cannot understand what is being said. It’s exhausting and frustrating- both the audio issues and dealing with the VA over it.
Can confirm, mine just broke the other day. The aluminum replacement is well worth the $10 on Amazon.
It always just felt dead. No pop. No solid feel. Regardless of where I made contact, what ball, temps, etc etc… it became a BP bat and even then I still hate it 😂
The Midwest version would be trying to explain what a Menards is. I had zero clue until I worked back east. Same with Buc-ee’s and Wawa.
If Bass Pro Shop and Dicks Sporting Goods had a baby, Scheels would be the favorite child.
Awesome store, great people, and everything you could need for any outdoor activity- camping, hunting, every kind of sport, fishing, kids toys, water sports, weightlifting, etc etc etc.
Love the store (but don’t always love the prices 😅)!
I have the 2022 same specs and I hated it honestly. It was super hyped up around here so I grabbed one. It felt dead from the beginning so I kept hitting with it, hoping it would break in a bit. Nope. End load felt good though.
Also- don’t forget to breathe 😅 I tend to hyperfocus and eventually hold my breath. For some totally unrelated and weird reason, whenever I hold my breath, I shake more… haha
Love the wheel choice. Looks much better!
My general rule is to ask for a review of your position before asking for a raise directly. Point out what has changed and what your current position responsibilities are. It’ll help clear the air between you and your employer (assuming professional conversation is happening). You can justify why you either fit a higher role or higher pay scale and your employer might realize they need to make some adjustments on a number of things. Just make sure you get it all in email or writing.
That being said, a 16% pay bump is a big difference. You can leverage losing half your team (and their payroll) but good luck!
I just went through this tension arm issue… took me a few reprints to figure out what was going on. Any replacement suggestions? I just super glued it but would like something more sturdy without breaking the bank
That little guy at the bottom? We don’t worry about that guy… also don’t worry about the profile… or the distance to the tip…. 😮💨 Just don’t worry about any of it, apparently 😂
Anyone know the sixth pic, right side, orange car is? Whatever it is, I need one again 🥲
Seeing some of those cars is bringing back a flood of childhood memories! I found the blue hydroplane a few weeks back at a local thrift store and I had to fight back tears the rest of the shopping trip. The amount of hours spent playing outside in the sand box and inside with the toy road map with the hydroplane and orange car is something I will never regret.
Thanks for your thoughts on this! I believe the steel does have a level of design strength to it, though most weight looks to be carried through a few steel beams that the corrugated sheets rest on. I may drill a small hole soon and see what turns up.
For clarity- the house is 10+ years old and we have been living in it for the last 6+ years. The oxidation is less than a year old (at least the heavy discoloration portion is).
For clarity- the house was built 10+ years ago and we have been living in it for 6+ years now. I haven’t come across any documentation to show specifically what was used or checked for local markings on the metal (…yet). I’ll see what I can find though! Any tell-tell indicators or easy tips to identify?
Nowhere near a beach or an ocean, more so near mountains and a relatively low humidity area.
Second this- what foam and how to cut it so clean? Looking to implement the same
I understand reading comprehension can be hard sometimes, so I’ll simplify my response as much as possible.
I am not a recruiter, nor did I say I was. Good luck finding a more accurate way to quantify one’s work ethic, please keep me updated on your findings.
Regardless of your thoughts, companies with a sizable applicant pool do have the luxury of finding the closest possible skillset needed to fill a role. If a company needs an experienced and certified underwater welder then your four bachelors degrees in engineering don’t count, sorry. If you fail to mention you were a certified underwater welder for six years while going to school, that’s on you.
Every “imaginary checkbox” has a substantial resource cost associated with it. More qualified candidates generally take less time to train. The faster you can free up the experienced trainer and competent trainee to start generating revenue, the better the chance your business has to survive. Sure, most jobs can be taught. It’s up to the company to decide what level of resources they can afford to commit to teaching. Sometimes that level is very low.
So to answer your initial question- yes, recruiters (and companies) can be passing over talented individuals who “want to try something new” because their skillset provided does not match the job description.
Good luck out there.
Why can’t I get a job?
