How Do You Manage To Entertain Yourself & Stay Busy?

It’s so hard. Most of my friends are married with kids. I get my kids half the time, but when I don’t have them.. I find myself so incredibly lonely now and bored. My mom has been a good support system during this. But it seems as soon as I come home and I’m alone, the thoughts of my ex gf creep back in and I can’t help but miss her terribly and all the times we shared together. I haven’t been able to get myself back to the gym either. We broke up 3.5 weeks ago, and I thought maybe she would come back and realize how much she wanted us to work out. We agreed to a 3 week no contact and that she would reach out to check in at the 21 day mark. That has since passed, and at this point I feel like I’ll never see her again or hear from her. I’m so depressed and I know it’s a bit immature to be this way given I’m a 41 year old man. I guess I’m just venting at this point.. but man this is tough. I love her so much and I miss her incredibly. I feel debilitated.

In all honesty I love her and want us to get back together but I’m not focusing on doing any cryptic things to make this happen, and I’m just moving forward. I hope you are right, but not having any big expectations about it.

Want To Get An E-Kit, with whatever else necessary to start playing covers etc. and recording progress. I’m a noob, need advice. Discussion

Have drumming experience but never played on anything other than an acoustic set. Main goal is to have a decent e kit for 2-2500$ and I need to know how to go about getting whatever is needed to play covers in headphones mixing out the original drums, and recording videos for myself to watch and learn from. Basically what all the folks on YouTube are doing to post drum covers. Do I need a laptop?, what software? Etc.

I was looking at the Alesis Strike pro, or potentially a Roland set. Other than that, I have no clue as to what to get in gear to have a compete setup to cover tunes, write/record my own grooves, etc.

Any and all advice or pointers are appreciated!

I’m gonna screenshot this, send it in my group thread, and see who my true friends are.

How? I’m a fit 41 yo man I workout 4x a week, healthy weight and I’m going in a year of having chronic pain. I went as far as getting an injection, a brief explanation of how you released you lower half? Exercise, stretches or how? lol I’m at a loss

This is what happened to me. Still going through having 2 in my lower lumbar herniated, are you recovered? If so. How if you don’t mind me asking

Journey To The End Of The East Bay - Matt Freeman of Rancid has to be on this list for sure.

Sciatica. Worse than compound fracture of my left arm in a cycling accident. Sciatica is the absolute worst

Don’t do it. Who cares, it Durant effect the car at all. And Toyota is going to charge you 7-800$ to replace a hose lol. F them

I always paid half my monthly payment biweekly, which helps cut down 1 payment per year by doing so and incrues less interest. I never threw extra payments at it much, maybe once or twice but that’s it. Once I had 3k left on the loan, I took it out of my savings and paid it off. I’m hoping to get to 300k miles on it, which I think is doable so long as I change oil every 10k miles, rotate my tires when doing oil changes, and replacing the cabin and engine filters every 30k miles, on top of keeping it clean.

I’m a consultant, inspector on highway transportation construction projects.

Maryland. Mostly highway driving for work. Never heard a peep from the brake pads, rotors seemed ok, but at 130k miles and with it paid off.. I opted to replace all pads and rotors since the shop near me was offering deals. Guy at the shop said I could’ve prob gotten 10k more miles on my pads. Crazy.

You can try, but it’ll always come back once AC is on. It has nothing to do with scheduled oil change reminder, it’s a bug in the system saying something is wrong with the bypass valve

Bodhi tree seemed chill when I visited. But I didn’t do a retreat, I was passing through, met someone that was doing a retreat there when I was staying in Nosara. She seemed to have been enjoying it.

I still to this day drive with that visit dealer message on my odometer display. I got used to it, the car is fine. Just when AC is on and at 70 degrees or lower, it comes on. Winter it never comes on since I don’t use AC in winter obviously. It’s actually bullshit it’s not a recall. No my after market racks never leaked, nor has my moonroof. It drives like it did when I bought it. I have a couple cosmetic scratches here and there but no dents, and I keep my shit clean.

2019 XLE GAS PAID OFFGen 5

Just flexing. I’ve been pretty good with maintenance and performing my own oil:filter changes, getting tires rotated, had a trans drain/refill at 100k, and just replaced the ORIGINAL brake pads and rotors at 130k miles. I drive for work and get mileage reimbursement. Hopefully I will have this bad boy for another 4-5 years. But I average 25-30k miles per year. Just sharing. Im ecstatic

Grown ass people still trying to blame alcohol for their choices lol. Good luck with that sis.

Dude, you’re wasting so much time. Ditch her completely and block her. Stop being a wimp.

Old Rag This Saturday??

Looking to do Old Rag tomorrow 5/4/24. looks like it is calling for rain (70% chance with about quarter inch of rain) I’m going with my girlfriend. We are both active and fit and have hiked long distances before, and are packing light, only water and snacks.

Do you think it’s ok to still go and hike? Obviously wish it was nicer weather tomorrow, but it is what it is. We’ve been looking forward to it. Let me know what you guys think!
