Right but those old albums still say & the Diamonds. And they are great. Froot!
Or did she go back and re-release Electra Heart etc as "Marina"? 🤔
I am so glad. More people need to hear Elysian Fields. They had a short buzz in the 90s but were overshadowed by Mazzy Star. 🫤
They're still around 👍
I just saw Armored Saint live in March 2024. Killer stuff.
Lana did cover Nancy Sinatra - her and Barrie did "Summer Wine"
I hope he is doing ok. I did not know he had cancer! That sucks. It seems he has recovered?
Figured as much. I think the last time they toured the US was 2019? Unfortunately they only did an East Coast of the US & Canada tour. I am on the West Coast. Sheavy is one of my fav bands and I would just love to see them some day.
Have you heard the "Greater of Two Evils" album? They re-recorded the 80s Anthrax stuff + some of Persistence of Time with BUSH!
I actually only heard this album like 5 years ago for the first time because I always thought it was a greatest hits album. It is so damn good.
Hehe Indians. Well the Bush version is pretty great, IMO
It is bizarre that Charlie is the one preventing Bush from rejoining the band. I think everyone else is ok with it. 🤦♂️
Have you heard Bush's new band Category 7? It rules.
Also, it seems you like the Honeymoom album so you may enjoy Goldfrapp; her Felt Mountain album has some Honeymoon-esque moments for sure: Goldfrapp - Lovely Head
This band predates Lana by about 12 years. I started listening to them about 1997 and always think of Jennifer Charles as the singer who most sounds like Lana. They are still active.
Charles was also in a side project in 2001 with Mike Patton from Mr. Bungle and Fantômas called "Lovage". Some of the most sensual music ever made.
Wesley Willis and the Dragnews
Agree until they got John Bush. Then they were finally cooking with gas
Agree. Joey even said in old interviews after he got fired he didn't feel at home in the band and he wasn't even a metal singer when he joined, he was a Journey cover band singer in Rochester, New York or Syracuse or something way upState. He said he struggled with the music and always relied on the band to help him write stuff. Smh.
And back then Scott Rosenfeld said he felt Bush sang like a lion and really took the band to the next level.
Amen to that. Bush finally got the band going in a seriously heavy direction, instead of being the least heavy of the Big 4 bands until then.
I believe the Bush ones were also great musically, the songs were different I believe as Charlie started writing the music and of course Bush did the vocals.
It's weird, I used to love that Testament album but after about 10 years or so the novelty wore off and it just sounds like pseudo cookie monster vocals. Hardly listen to it anymore
Sorry Brucey the flag goes the other way (stars on the left) 🙄
Tell me about it. Seems like fans don't appreciate lineup changes and the band moving in a more heavy direction 🤦♂️
This is a great song because it was one of the last (?) songs she did with Rick Nowells, who I prefer instead of Jack Antonoff. The lyrics are vintage strange Lana (I bought me a truck in the middle of the night 😁). Not sure why ppl would be annoyed with her tuh tuh; she has done that in other songs 🤷♂️
Edgecrusher is one of the heaviest songs of the 90s. This whole album rips
Did she print the lyrics in the vinyl record or CD? I looked at discogs and didn't see anything unfortunately.
Change in lyrics on Apple Music. Which one is correct: "God's a charlatan, don't look look back, babe" or this?
