There should be an Albertan discount, at the very least. Disneyland gives Californians a discount, it should be similar for Provincial and National Parks.

A major issue though is just how much growth Canada has had in the past five years. It’s not all tourists at the parks. The population has grown substantially very quickly, it’s also an issue with our infrastructure and putting pressure on our healthcare system.

The Cats have 26/27 first and second round picks they can trade at the deadline for rentals. Florida can probably pick up a good wing and a top 4 defensemen for the playoffs.

They’ll be fine.

Vancouver is so underrated.

They didn’t have Demko, Petterson wasn’t at his best and Boeser was dealing with an injury, and they still were within a lucky bounce and a goal away from beating Edmonton.

If Vancouver can stay healthy and load up again at the deadline, they can make it past the Oilers.

Canada isn’t going far right. The PPC is far right, Conservatives are centre right.

Not much different than Edmonton or Winnipeg.

Winnipeg is 7 hours from Minneapolis. Edmonton is 3 hours from Calgary, but 12 hours to Vancouver. Much of Canada is extremely isolated as well.

I lived in Texas and my hockey league was full of people from Toronto. Biased perspective from the sample size, but they would always joke the smart people all leave.

That was 7 years ago. Have to imagine the brain drain has gotten worse.

Serious question. But why does Ontario support the Liberals so hard?

By bringing in millions and millions of people so quickly they’ve priced most young people out of ever buying a home. How are the Conservatives worse than owning nothing?

I’m not sticking up for the UCP. But it’s the federal government that’s bringing in 1.4 million people a year.

No province can keep up, and as a result we don’t have enough infrastructure and services in every major city in the country.

I made a wrong turn there once and it was horrifying. But I’m pretty sure most players live in the Ft Lauderdale area.

I don’t think it’s a burn it to the ground rebuild like you suggest. They still have Huberdeau, Kadri, Coleman, Backlund, Weegar and Andersson.

I’m glad they’re doing a heavy retool. I don’t want to see them being stuck going in circles for a decade like Buffalo.

Looks like you’re right, I thought it was Zadorov.

I think Zadorov broke Draisaitls ribs. Which probably won the Panthers a cup. He was crucial for the Canucks run. It’s too bad they couldn’t sign him because he fit in so well, but 5 million by 5 is too much.

This roster is sneaky good if they can stay healthy. They’ll likely pick up some good rentals again at the deadline as well. I think the Canucks are a dark horse to make a deep playoff run this upcoming season.

I really liked him and wanted to see him succeed here. At the end of the day, it is a business.

There’s a certain risk with signing him long term as they’re still trying to figure out his capabilities, and they don’t know if he’ll need to take any breaks in the future.

Wish him all the best, either way.

Quebec City is a really cool city. It’s over 400 years old and has some really cool historical architecture.

October is a good time to go to Quebec because they have an especially beautiful fall. They get the orange and yellow leaves on the trees, but also red because of all the maple trees.

Do you think it’s possible that Albertans are more concerned with the issues brought on by their federal government more than their provincial government?

Why do people in Canada love taxes so much?

I completely understand paying a reasonable amount of money for services. But honestly, so much of this money is fucking wasted and at the end of the day all we’re left with is less money in our pockets, crumbling infrastructure and a broken healthcare system.

Canadians love spending other peoples money, but I think the most frustrating thing is they can’t even spend it properly.

As long as the Flames draft top ten the pick is protected right?

The Federal Government is bringing in 1.4 million people a year. Most of whom seem to be working or looking for entry level positions.

A friend of mine owns a couple fast food restaurants and he says he gets thousands of applications a month. I’m sure businesses appreciate the cheap labour, but I don’t understand how the federal government thinks this is sustainable. A university education is more important now than ever in Canada.
