You should sell them.

They would be too light for me too.

I use one for my cook pot too. I feel like it will add weight making it almost like a regular case.

I kind of like the croakies idea with the carabiner. I’d like to keep it in my side pocket. Sometimes things fall out of there. I could secure it with the carabiner.

Mine is the older oval one.

Brilliant. I keep my permit in there. It keeps my glasses from juggling around too much. I’m surprised Litesmith doesn’t sell empty crystal lite containers 😃

Right?!! It would be a nightmare.

I’m just waiting for cataracts to kick in so I can replace my eyeball lenses to fix both!

Yes, avoid! It’s a pain.

I need it to carry my clear glasses while I’m wearing my sunglasses and Vice versa.

I had lasik and it wore off. I’m old.

Do you have a link?

I tried a rubber band but it rolled off. Maybe if I crossed two.

My fingers get too filthy. I’m not sticking them in my eyeballs.

I’d be terrified of crushing my glasses then not being able to see. It’s a Twilight Zone type of nightmare for me.

Glasses caseQuestion

Has anyone come up with a solution to an UL glasses case? I’ve tried the crystal lite container and the lid always pops off, plus it’s a little bulky. As added info, I mean for prescription lenses. I bring both prescription sunglasses and clear and they share a case.

I’m not canceling because of the reroute. It’s actually a very beautiful area of the Sierra. Sorry, I don’t have any info about Lamarck Col, other than something I’ve read here.

Has anyone done any long distance backpacking with Foxella trekking poles? I’ve only used a carbon pair for day hiking but I’m not sure of their durability.

Thanks! I’m new to using FarOut. I’ve been using Gaia to plan. I have a question about FarOut. The only place I see comments is when I click on an icon. Is there another way to see comments if there isn’t an icon, like on Piute Pass?

My FarOut app shows no icons along Piute or Bishop Pass. Is that because I have the JMT map and not the PCT map? Not that those are PCT either.

I so appreciate your post. I did make a detailed plan, but that was to help with resupply. I also wanted to really check out the Piute Pass reroute and how many miles that would entail. However, I found it fun tracking the trail on Gaia and getting a better sense of it. Even though I have an itinerary, I’m going to be completely flexible and stop or keep going when I feel like it. I’m an early July start too. I’ve done some JMT sections, but this will be my first time doing the whole thing.

Thank you! I knew that was true with other trailheads but I wasn’t so sure about Whitney because it’s so popular.
