ok, I didn't even know it was nominated :) Just got it a few days ago and man it's great :) But I will withdraw my entry. :)

what a pity! I thought it was challenging and fun, and so much effort went into designing this quest; I would actively welcome more of this stuff. But yes, it is decidedly different from your usual HL stuff.

The good thing is, you can completely ignore it in future, it is entirely optional and has no consequences - the only difference it makes is that you get slightly more money for clothes you sell to her instead of anywhere else.

well, it's also the starter zone. It wouldn't make much sense to pit Aloy against a large deadly machine and highly organized enemies as soon as she steps out of her home.

well, if one falls in love, one tends to not have very much control over it... Personally I chose the "sorry Seyka this isn't the right moment for me" option, as I felt that was the right choice.

hate it. It's unnecessary, over the top, drawn out, and doesn't do anything for the chemistry between Harry and Ginny (there is none to begin with) and then next movie, the house is good as new. What a waste of cinema minutes.

is the guy considerate? Tolerant? Peaceful? Funny? Has a sense of humour? A kind heart?

it's good, in its own way. I prefer the crafting on the fly in HZD by a mile, and I think altogether there is too much choice in weapons/upgrades etc. I just ignored what I didn't want to use and that worked for me.

I just got to Umbar yesterday for the first time. Been putting it off somewhat. Anyway, after being stuck in the Shield Isles a couple of days I decided to spend a Mithril coin just to have a look around because I was seriously curious.

And I fully agree with you, just on a visual level. Haven't done any quests yet whatsoever, my first impression is that the houses are all too clean. Where you have ruins and dirt and grime on the entire architecture of Middle-earth, you get to Umbar (or any town in the Shield Isles) and everything is so tidy that my impression is that Umbar is easily the richest region in the entire game world. And that is somewhat off-putting.

I actually loved the architecture and flora and fauna so far, I seek the sun in every game I play, so that was all grand. I am also looking forward to questing in the area. BUT. It feels a little plasticky, on a visual level, and considering how Middle-earth is structured, of course it is weird to get to these southern parts. I do think that the transition (architecture-wise) from italian-style Gondor to arabian-style Umbar, while retaining the Numenorean traditions, is very well done.

It's just a little too clean.

Btw. I also felt that Gundabad looked too clean from the outside but once I was inside things changed for the better. :)

As for lore and quests - the devs have to dig deep now to come up with ideas as the main story has long ended. Personally I think they did a fantastic job with everything from Mordor onwards, and I would not mind exploring further to the East (think beyond Iron Hills etc).

I don't understand why you don't simply use the difficulty slider in the game. Why now lower the difficulty - at least until you have better armour and weapons?

good question. I wouldn't do that myself, not with the amount I've created.

I actually agree. There should be an option to delete your images on the website.

if you're a listener rather than a reader, the audio books will certainly be great!

The movies condense some of the actions and sequences, as all movies do. But they are still faithful in the main. You may be surprised a fair few times if you watch the movies first then read the books, but I mean I watched Dracula before I read it (Bram Stoker's Dracula to be precise) and I loved the book even more after having watched it. And before I watched the movie, I listened to Paul Oakenfolds Urban Soundtrax of Dracula which was even more condensed but still an absolute banger :)

The lotr community is very faithful. Just ask how many people went and got a lifetime subscription, when that was an option :) (I sadly didn't have the money at the time but oh man do I regret that today.)

well, if anyone is interested they can send me an ingame message. Best send to Laianna, my main.

The Hobbit is a children's book and the first of the actual Ring story you may want to read. It's funny and easy to read, and the LotR books really start off similarly, easing you into the world. Yes it gets serious, but later. Don't be afraid to read them! They are amazing. And heartwarming. Whether you read the books or watch the movies first, I think doesn't really matter too much. But you will appreciate thousands of little things in the game so much more that otherwise you would know nothing about.

As a lifelong fan of the books, I couldn't wait to dive into the game when it came out, to see how they had crafted the world. And to this day I cherish the love and dedication that goes into every corner of the worldbuilding.

Ok? Thanks! They're not clogging up my vaults as much as the normal mats, so I guess that's a valid option 🙂

I guess I hoarded them too long -.- Thanks though!

Ah, pity. I hope you get it fixed!

That I have to do every quest without questioning it. I had no idea you could simply not do them.
