I train using positive reinforcement training so I started by building positive association on the ground first x
We are, thank you, we will!
Thank You, she certainly thinks so β€οΈ
Well I suck right now but I'll get there ππ
I'm really lucky, my partner decided to surprise me with the bow and arrows for Christmas and I've been working on training the horses up for it π need to train myself a bit I think π
Ah thank you very much x
Ah thank you, she is half Irish draft which helps haha
She's always been ridden with a bit but about two years ago I changed my way of training and transitioned to bitless with all my.gorses and she's been like an entirely different, much happier horse. Not to say bits are evil or anything like that, but for Betty making those changes has completely changed her life. β€οΈ
You're right. And she was ruled away out of sight so nobody could help her. She went through a lot there. I was contacted by an estate agent when the owners decided to sell the house and were like "oh Do you want this, it's free we don't want it".
She did indeed. With humans who wee clueless, which isn't a crime ... But they didn't even try, they could have found out the basics on wikipedia for goodness sake.
Thank you so much! You're right it takes a lot, living on beans on toast included! As long as the horses are happy and healthy I'm happy π₯°
We're not actually a sanctuary or charity either, so covid has been hard financially with no aid, but we've come out fighting and hoping to become a center that can offer riding soon! So with any luck we'll have some income and be able to help even more horses π That's the dream for my motley crew of rescue animals!
Thank you
Daisy and I finally tried out my horse bow from on board.. I need to practice my aim π
