"Oh, got into a car accident? Sorry to hear that where are you hurt?"

"I WAS DRIVING IN MY LANE AND THIS ASSHOLE CUT ME OFF AND THE COPS DIDNT DO ANYTHING"

"Okay but where are you hurt? And when did this happen?"

"HE WAS DRIVING SO FAST AND HAD A TAILLIGHT OUT. I WENT BY AMBULANCE TO THE FURTHEST HOSPITAL FROM WHERE I WAS AT BUT THE DOCTOR DIDNT EVEN GIVE ME PAIN ME... DIDNT DO ANYTHING!"

"How can I help you?"

"I DEMAND TO BE "CHECKED OUT" NOW!!!"

Couldnt agree more. I work two 24 hr shifts a week and one week out of the month on call for a third. At least one of those shifts we're always up for the whole 24. City has no problem at all with it because they don't have to do it and it means a cheaper bottom line. So driving around administering paralytics, intubating, etc is perfectly fine with the city. I'm not sure how many other industries allow it but if we make one mistake we get fried by a jury. Lack of sleep is never an acceptable alibi.
