I know people were down on him this year, but dude got poked in the eye. It's hard to get right after that. I hope he can come back. I wish that we could make it easy for him to come back by giving him enough money.
In my group, Avalon and Secret Hitler are best at odd player counts and Deception: Murder in Hong Kong at even player counts.
It kind of sounds like Reiner Knizia's Age of War, but not exactly.
It doesn't necessarily help you fix any of your problems with Memoir '44, but Undaunted is another great game that isn't too difficult.
Also, it doesn't fix any problems you might have with Axis & Allies, but War Room was made by the same guy, and many people feel it's better and more streamlined, but it still takes a long time (if you play the global game).
The 12 hours and 6 other people in the original version is way too much, agreed. Then 999 Games came out with mega Civilization (or Mega Empires (Western and Eastern Empires)) and it's a pipe dream to get 18 people total for a 2 day game.
My old group loved Space Alert. It's one of those games where you need a few plays to get everything down, though.
What I haven't seen talked about in regards to religion yet is the uselessness of Great Prophet Points. Why am I being punished so many times for choosing a random civ and getting a religious one. My Great Prophet Points are good basically once... I feel they should be able to get you something.
Tony Parker used to complain when Pop limited him to 30 minutes in games after the all-star break, but it, in theory, paid off.
How to talk to the media.
Cause Curry's got nothing on Dillingham. Dillingham is going to get the inbounds and swish it from 45 feet out 52% of the time.
To be fair, if Arby's offers free sandwiches for 3s this year, I think they might be a little upset, too.
(I know thst handing out free sandwiches like that is probably worth it in the long run.)
To clarify this person's helpful comment:
The first edition has a decent board and plastic pieces. There is an expansion that some have had issues with the different colour on the back of the cards. It is not a deluxe version, but it feels like a board game.
The second edition plays the exact same (it actually comes with the expansion in it - with the same colour backing on the cards), but its board is relatively thin and the pieces are all thin cardboard punchouts. This almost feels like a print-and-play with you making your own pieces using The Game Crafter.
We're not in the 2nd apron for another 4 days.
Traded away 1 future player. The other is a pick swap.
And he'll build the team that brings down the back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back Champions: The Minnesota Timberwolves.
My real ideal game would be an 18xx mechanics mixed with a Civilization game in a 4x space atmosphere. There'd be leaders that can help your Civ in different aspects.
I want a Space Alert and Galaxy Trucker combined campaign game.
I want this, but with the Star Trek version.
I could see something like a Marvel Legendary deck-builder game or a Marvel Champions.
Once the Forsaken uses their glass cannon abilities, The Dragon can use them.
You need to collect angreal to cleanse saidin.
Plays two players, but you can influence other non-playable factions.
1830 is probably the hardest that I could do. The map board, the terrain costs, each city's worth, the number of tiles, the amount of money in the bank for each player, the stock board's shape and colours, the stock board's values, how many stations each of the companies have, the number of trains, the initial minor companies.
The simplest most difficult games would be Chess, Baduk, and Bridge.
Other games I could probably do include Diplomacy, DOG!, For Sale, Love Letter, Puerto Rico, Rummikub, Transamerica, and Stone Age (Although, I am only 90% certain on the number of the resources in the box (as they are unlimited in the game) - but the civ cards and the huts I know).
I'm 99% certain that Vlaada Chvatil is a time traveller from the future who memorised the random games that he had in his house, and then went back in time and recreated them.
There is a game called Western Empires that is based on Civilization and its expansion: Advanced Civilization. If you wanted to try a new board, Eastern Empires is about the lands east of the board (basically including everything up to Myanmar).
What's the one game you've conceded you're never getting to the table?
