Yes you are correct. All hybrid plug or otherwise gets way better fuel economy in urban city stop and go traffic. However, I also think it depends on the model of hybrid or plug-in-hybrid. So if the battery and electric motor is more capable and can support acceleration to and maintaining higher top-speed, your engine will run less so more fuel efficient.
Not BYD but, this man with the Toyota RAV4 Prime PHEV SUV achieved 50MPG in mile-above sea-level in Colorado driving 80mph+. In the RAV4 Prime, electric motor and battery can support the vehicle propulsion until 135km/h.

I mean we all know full-size luxury sedan is a dying segment. Entry like XJ and CT6 have already left. Even the class benchmark Mercedes S-class only sold around 2000 so far this year.......
https://www.goodcarbadcar.net/mercedes-benz-s-class-sales-figures/
Genesis G90 only sell around half of Lexus LS. Lexus RZ their only EV lineup outsell all three Genesis EV lineup combined, GV60, GV70 and G80 electrified
eh? Lexus just recorded its best-ever first half sales in its 35-year history while Genesis was slightly down. Genesis G90 only sell around half of Lexus LS. Lexus RZ their only EV lineup outsell all three Genesis EV lineup combined, GV60, GV70 and G80 electrified
Yes their flagship SUV Lexus LX outsell LS 3:1 approxi
Genesis G90 sells half the number of Lexus LS
eh? Lexus just recorded its best-ever first half sales in its 35-year history.
why are u comparing it to the smaller 5er? 5er compares to the Lexus GS which is no longer being produced
Lexus LS=7er S-Klasse competitor
Lexus GS=5er E-class competitor
Lexus IS=3er, C-class competitor
Lexus looks better and apparently believe it or not, with the direction recent BMW's products have been heading, Lexus LS is now more sportier driving than the 7er. Lexus LS might now be the best driving dynamic full-size luxury sedan now that Jag XJ and Cadillac CT6 is no longer being offered
I don't quite understand why this is a massive L? Genesis G90 sells like half the number of LS and Audi A8 also sell less than the Lexus LS and both of those cars are still around. Why would Lexus kill it??
some started their fuel economy loop and long distance drive at xian not shenzhen
did you actually watch any of those live broadcast though? If you did, you'd know a lot of them did many loops around Xian ringroad. Going around in circuit like pattern increases fuel economy and efficiency. Tell me what kind of person go around and do multiple laps around a ring road? Wheelsboy real world test showed that BYD's claims were fantasy
I understand exactly how the tests were done blud. Your own video link you gave me before literally showed that those initial BYD QIn L media drive went a lot of loops around Xian ringroad. Going around circuit increases fuel economy regardless of speed.
If you even looked at the three video I linked for a brieg moment, in the real world, without circuit trickery, BYD QIn L and its 5.0 DM-i did significantly worse while Toyota PHEV did significantly better. At 80mph and mile above sea level I might add. And this is the current 4th gen hybrid synergy drive
In the real world, this BYD doesn't seem to achieve anywhere near the claimed range or efficiency.
Can This BYD Hybrid Really Go 2,000 KM? (youtube.com)
Wheelsboy test basically showed that in EPA equivalent test cycle it would be 4.5L/100km or 52-ish MPG which the current Camry already gets (and it is not a PHEV).
As for Toyota PHEV, RAV4 Prime SUV has been demonstrated to achieve 50MPG (and that is in mile-above sea-level in Colorado driving 80mph+) and Prius Prime when u really try to hypermile can get near 100mpg

were they really leading when they were using japanese panasonic battery in the first place? Beat them to market? Maybe. But technology-wise? I am not sure
in theory that if the launcher is closer to the threat of a missile, as is the case with fighter jet travelling at supersonic speed at high altitude as opposed to moving ships on the surface, missile doesn;t need to travel as far or as fast. Intercept does not mean catch-up to. It just gotta meet with and hit the threat
i just don't understand how ur certain that lexus is going to kill LS but not Genesis or Audi their own offering?
