I said this on Tumblr and I'll say it here: the whiplash of the emotional damage of last night's Critical Role and then waking up to a Trinyvale one shot was... Well .. whiplash.
Trinyvale in all is so good. Top tier goofs, Murph gets to be a chaos gremlin, Emily is completely unhinged and Jake just leans into every bit thrown his way. Caldwell is a creative and responsive GM and will Yes, And everything while still creating interesting encounters for "combat"
I cannot rec Trinyvale harder.
Oh 10000%. I totally agree teaching consent like who you hug, how you dress, how you style your hair etc ... Is just as important.
No means no starts at home. If you say no to your kid when they ask for screens or candy and eventually give in when they start throwing a fit, what are you teaching them?
Whine and tantrum enough that the No becomes Yes.
Why would we think that all of .a sudden they would completely rewrite what No means if it comes from a peer and not an authority figure?
Yes, teach your children when a peer says No it's a complete sentence but asking middle schoolers to rewrite their understanding of the word is an uphill battle.
Anxiety is the new hysteria
I got sent to the ER because I couldn't eat for 3 weeks and lost control of my arms/hands. Like a paralysis type deal. Only med on my allergy list now.
If your hair is currently long-ish, you can always go shorter in stages. First shoulders, then chin, then pixie and then mimics clipper buzz.
You can always stop at a "step" if you feel the length doesn't suit you and if you didn't go fully buzzed, it'll grow out sooner.
I NEED to know if the guys hired the same escape room artist/expert to design this room as dropout did for escape the green room
I am disappointed at the lack of love for What's My Line (pt 1 or 2). But I gotta give my vote to I Only Have Eyes For You.
So this is an absolute abomination. A crime against culture, culinary techniques, and all reason. But I will absolutely use the "grilled cheese" method on my quesadillas and slather the outside of the tortilla in mayo before it hits the medium-temp skillet.
Before I am judged (as is good, correct and I absolutely deserve it) quality tortillas are impossible to find where I am and I do not have the energy or a press to make them myself.
I was on a medication carousel for a while but the mood stabilizer/antipsychotics didn't help anything. I was in high school so I don't remember a lot of what happened but I do know that some of those medications made things worse (Seroquel, Trileptel).
I was also able to tolerate Zoloft/SSRIs without going manic, which is a pretty decent way to rule out bipolar.
Every person I know who first got a depression diagnosis and were put on a SSRI who is actually bipolar had a really bad time on the SSRI.
It took a long time for me to put the mood swings together with the hormone cycle.
Well hell, if there's pop rocks now this has become a new ACOC character
Not to be too nosy, and hopefully I'm not repeating another reply I haven't seen, but if you have a menstrual cycle, the ADHD/PMDD emotional dysregulation carousel can be a bitch. I was misdiagnosed as "rapid cycling bipolar" as a teen and turns out it's just the hormone sacks in my abdomen creating this never ending, well trackable cyclic thought patterns.
If you do menstruate, it might be worth (ahhahahhahaaha yeah I know it's a high bar) getting a method of marking your moods and your cycle. I found stimulant meds+hormone bc (progesterone only, estrogen made me EXTRA CRAZY) works. I did have to stop the progesterone only when I couldn't get my vyvanse because it just made my moods similar to the estrogen only.
But ymmv.
Is everyone here very stoned???
So building on the absolutely fantastic references here, I can't help but go back to Thean in Black saying he's "been holding his breath since the beginning of the world." And I think about asking the Cantrip Callum (the baker guy in the Citadel) if he is a Spirit. And THEN I think about the souped up physical spells on the Citadel's front line, and I think about Ghost, whose main thing was unintentionally casting Dispel Magic.
This random association/pattern building has led me to the theory that The Man In Black may be an unfulfilled sentient Wish Spell cast by some magic user in the past for nefarious ends bit has not been fully given the task to complete.
Jumping on the WBN train. And while their Fireside chats aren't as chaotic and off topic as the Short Rests it's a definite second for chaos TalkBack content.
But the actual show has some of the best audio production quality, the world is impeccable and full of mystery and threads to pull and the cast chemistry is a delight.
You're at a perfect spot to jump in, they just finished their 2nd main feed arc and it's sooo good.
If you want more naddpod energy, their country affair mini campaign is incredible and hilarious
Doug Jones always put his whole monsterussy into everything he did and we, as the Buffy fandom, were honored by his presence
Yeah but parody is one of the few robust free speech and expression protections we have left and I would LOVE to sue him if he tried. He can afford it and I can't afford not to....
I remember when this happened and I was watching as it aired and knowing that the series contract went on for two more years with the WB and UPN merger. So I wasn't worried we would lose the show, but I was very stressed on HOW?!?!!
But the emotional impact did, and still, wrecks me.
Our void (who also has a bow tie) does the same thing. He also occasionally tries to protect us from our toothbrushes. It's just a sign that he has a concern and wants you to be safe from the EVIL THING.
Sophie alt here, gonna have to bleep that out in post.
(I'm not Sophie, I'm nowhere near that cool or patient)
It depends on what you want. More bahumia? C3.
Watching the 2 Crew do epic characters with special guests and also having a very queer love story be the heart? Eldermourne.
ALL THE GOOFS!!! Plus Murph getting to really showcase his comedic talents? Trinyvale
Hot boy summer/Marcus chronicles twilight sanctorum: Emily DMs and it's a pure delight watching her weave the story through the chaos. And it is CHAOS.
There are no wrong answers. Everything is there for you when you're ready.
Personally, I'm glad I went through in chronological order because it made the return to Bahumia that much sweeter.
[NS] Just finished Campaign 1. what should i listen to next?
