Where in Bay Ridge? We lived on 75th and Bay Ridge, Parkway, where we submitted a one bedroom coop for a few year. That place had a minor roach issue but we did basically all the stuff other folks mentioned in this thread and that killed them all and their offspring. We didn't see anything after that.
We then moved to a rent-stabilized one bedroom on 87th and Ridge Blvd. As soon as we moved in, we did many of these measures to prevent any roaches. We didn't see anything for two years after. Great apartment.
After that, we moved to Northern Virginia (Alexandria) after a lifetime in NYC.
