Agreed. There are even a few songs of hers that I haven’t listened to yet because they’re not on streaming (like Sweeter Than Fiction), and that’s fine with me. There are plenty of other songs to listen to lol. I don’t really get the outrage over this.

I agree she’s not a religious person. In at least two of her songs (Soon You’ll Get Better and Bigger Than the Whole Sky) she’s referenced praying only out of desperation and feeling guilty for not praying. It reminds me of my experience as someone who grew up going to church, is not religious as an adult, but has a healthy dose of religious guilt.

That’s how I took it. Eve didn’t get bitten, and Taylor didn’t actually get cursed. They both had agency at the start and are now dealing with the unintended consequences.

The rules of Fauxmoi: If the person who shares the image is Good, it’s okay and they’re very brave for speaking out. If the person who shares the image is Bad, they’re doing the bare minimum and it’s giving performative activism. We define good and bad in large part by the person’s relationship to Taylor Swift.

Fauxmoi roasts Jack Antonoff for posting an AI generated image of Rafah, but completely gushes over their activist king Joe Alwyn for posting a text-only image that says the same thing (“All eyes on Rafah”). Also, I challenge them to discuss Joe without mentioning Taylor:

The more I learn about him, the more I find him so likable and admirable… meanwhile his ex gets more dislikable by the second.

You’d think it’d be an easy thing to do, to speak up, but so few people are brave enough to do it. So it’s really commendable on his part that he continues to use his platform for good.

I mean, she’s only 34. She has decades left to try, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens eventually. I don’t think she’ll get an Oscar for directing (or acting lol) but it seems totally plausible that she could win one for best song down the road.

Because I had a parasocial relationship with this particular online personality and trusted her. LOL but also, she posted receipts. If I was donating a significant amount, obviously I’d donate myself, but this is just an easy low-stakes way to donate a few bucks, IMO.

Caroline Moss used to do this all the time, and her selling point was “just send me whatever’s in your Venmo balance for X cause — you won’t even know it’s missing.” I thought it was an effective way to fundraise, and it did make it really easy to donate a few dollars here and there. She said she didn’t claim it on her taxes as a deduction, but who knows. I wouldn’t care if she did since she was putting in the work to organize and fundraise.

She tried to go through the legal channels and got nowhere. The police let her rapist go.

He also admitted to texting another woman, which is unfaithful. And that’s just why he admitted to — it could have been more.

Fair, but also artists sing sexual lyrics that don’t necessarily apply to their current SOs all the time lol

I don’t think it’s strange at all, she’s a pop star and the whole point of these outros is making raunchy sexual innuendos. When she was touring with Taylor Swift, she made frequent references to sex with men in whatever country she was in, it’s just a joke.

They don’t even seem to recognize that he is joking. Media literacy (or honestly just common sense) is so dead.

I mean, she’s never toured folklore before and she has toured Speak Now (and played songs from that album live many many times over the years). I love Speak Now as much as the next person, but I’ll never understand this take haha. Obviously the new albums will get more room on the setlist.

I think the idea is that DAD wants now to hold out as long as she can, but in pain she might say something like “I can’t do this, I want an epidural,” even if she could theoretically last a little longer — and Dan would tell her to keep going but Lisa would “give in” and tell them to give her an epidural.

To be clear, I think that’s really weird. I can’t imagine my husband telling me that I don’t actually need an epidural when I’m asking for one in labor. I feel like that would put them at odds when he should be her biggest support. If anything, the doula should be the one encouraging her to hold out, if that’s what she wants.

I doubt money is an object for her, so I think it’s more that she just doesn’t want to work with him (possibly because of the writing credit thing, and possibly because she just prefers and feels more comfortable in her relationship with Jack and Aaron).

Max Martin is in high demand, but she is arguably the biggest artist in the world. I’m sure she could get studio time with him if she wanted to.

Polo bear has style and always looks cool as hell. Her bear looks like a little kid’s toy.

Unrelated but this smile looks so fake and forced lol

Lol, also what a random person to say that about. I don’t follow Candi so maybe I’m missing something, but I see her videos a lot when scrolling — she’s a military wife with a toddler and a newborn, and did a lot of “solo parenting while pregnant when my husband is deployed” videos. They seemed pretty innocuous to me, I can’t imagine what is getting this person so amped up. (It’s probably mom shaming over something stupid.)

I thought (hoped) this was sarcasm but hard to tell these days lol

I didn’t say anything to the contrary lol just noting the minefield he has to navigate every time this question is asked.

Exactly, he’s said in the past that he loves Blank Space.

I do think that it puts Taylor’s boyfriends in a tough spot when they’re asked their favorite songs because there’s going to be so much scrutiny on their answers. If he said he loved the Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, people would say he’s shading Matty Healy, for example. It’s probably safest to say a song that is obviously about you and/or a song that isn’t tied to a specific relationship.
