Pretty sure you’re right with it being a different issue that ended up causing the extruder to do what it did. I think my issue has been the ptfe tube was degrading and was causing heat sink (I think that’s the right term) that caused clogs towards the bottom of the ptfe tubing. I’ve replaced the stock ptfe with the Capricorn one and haven’t had the issue since. Thanks for the reply!
I think you ended up being right about the PTFE tube messing it up. After it happened a couple more times I ended up buying a new one and haven’t had that issue since. Thanks for the suggestion!
For me, I had something similar happen. Printed great for a couple weeks and then I couldn’t get a print to finish. I leveled all the corners again and had to adjust the zoffset again
Is your z offset at the correct height?
Sovol SV03 - I can’t seem to get the direct drive extruder tension down (I assume). I’ve had print fails because it wasn’t tight enough and just now had a print fail because it seems the extruder chewed through the filament and it broke.
Could it be the tension? Cheap filament? I printed quite a few things before this recent fail.
Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution? Has anyone replaced their extruder (and maybe hotend as well)?
It looked alright to me, I’m no expert, but nothing stuck out to me like it was wrong. I also made sure the tube went down to the nozzle when I put the new nozzle on
