I wouldn't know without meeting them

To expand, you can imagine drawing a new vanishing line on each side (rail) as the track turns that follow the curve of the arc. Each of these lines is going to be ever so slightly off-angle to its predecessor. Like drawing tangents all around a semi-circle. I'd say most artists skip this and just freehand receding curves instead and it usually looks good enough. Just saying that mathematically you can calculate it like this. Pretty sure that's what Escher did with some of his more organic works.

IMHO this is the only way to learn a master's style. I would stray away from doing this as a complete beginner with no understanding of fundamentals. But if you're just trying to learn their style/composition, go for it!

Cute! Only thing I would say is that curly hair usually has more volume (and tangles) than it does here - unless you're only going for wavy.

Add some offset geometric shapes to make it a design with the rect in the middle

Edited: rect from typo "rest"

Use white ink to make it a bar code

A bigger, better anarchy symbol. /s But seriously, just turn it into a Borderlands symbol if you like games

🤣 fair enough thanks for explaining

Your "worse" maybe just be farther from the style you want, maybe even subconsciously. Try expanding and doing a style your would never have seen yourself attempting (think cubism, pointalism, abstract etc) go wild and learn all about it! Then come back and try your old style again and see how you feel/how it has evolved

Over the sickle? Like "no communism"

Just change it to an anarchy symbol. Come on. Join the dark side. You know you want to.

Sick piece! The scythe is great and I love the anatomy of the extra pecs and arms - clearly thought out. Update us if you finish this!

This all looks really good to me! Just keep using reference to learn more eye and face types

Also, I love the gesture in the second one!

Honestly, I would pick another area to study 😅 this is super good, and assuming you can draw faces like this in other angles, your time might be better spent working on something you're not as confident in. Nice job!

It's the new style! "Bruise tattoos"

Ooooh I love this! This is how I would colorze it *

I'll add on: 2 digits is a stylistic choice, but for learning I would go for the full 3 and 2 on thumbs. Also, the knuckle positions for the fingers are correct, but the thumb base does not fall on that same line, there's a 90 degree turn with some space before the thumb knuckle. Make an "L" with your hand and look at the space between the bases of fingers and base of thumb. Keep it up!

Why . ... why is she white? I'm so confused
