2015 persona. My average distance to empty has been dropping for some time now when I fill up and I recently purchased the Prius app. Tested it and says I’m due for a new battery. I have time to shop around still as I feel it’s not too urgent. I’m located in San Bernardino county. Where should I get my new battery from. Is it better to get it from the dealer or a 3rd party? What experience have you gotten from different places. Cost is important. Thanks.

I have 110k miles on it. Wow. 175k is good. What does your indicator fill to empty say when you fill up? Mine is giving me 470 miles to empty. The previous owner didn’t do a good job of maintenance. I believe that’s the reason it didn’t last as long. I put a lot of miles since I bought it and I expect to put a lot more in a short period of time because of work. I gotta look up if those batteries go faster because of time or usage. That should determine which I go for.
