Sweet. I'm totally gonna do this project. It's pretty awesome!

Super grateful for the write up, man. As far as the programming goes for the raspberry pi, is that online, as well. Or did you write your own code?

Oh man. My Canadian bro. Is there no way to get a job in the states without full on citizenship? Cause that seems wild. I'd definitely look into it deeper and see what needs to be done because you should be at 90k USD minimum, for real. I do all of what you do (or at least on the hook to do it when required) with just 4 years under my hat making 90k (100k+ after bonuses) at an OEM.

I feel for you, man. You definitely deserve to get paid.

I fixed this with some cat cleaner dumped into the ol gas tank. Granted it was also done on a pos 2017 Trax. Two applications and it was gone for good. 🤷‍♂️

I always wanted to make one of these. What electronics did you go with, if you would do me a huge solid and give me a list or point me to a place that has the stuff? I wouldn't know where to begin other than Amazon for the joystick like you mentioned.

Is it wired wye or delta? It's 3 phase. Is there no one there to help you? These are fairly simple questions to answer for someone who is expected to get it running properly. Nothing against you. I just think you may need on-site help. We were all in your shoes at one point, though the lack of basic understanding of motors is concerning.

Man.. I miss the age, but don't miss the bites. 😂 She will become a sweetheart in no time and you'll look back at the puppy pictures and the bites won't even come to mind.

That's gonna be an amazing pup for her new owners. Smart people to snag her up. And f@#k those who abandoned her.

No problem, bro. That's where you kinda might end up in the weeds. What is an employer supposed to do with an applicant with a master's degree and no real world experience? They'll either not offer you what you think you should be making with a master's degree (which honestly means close to nothing in the real world below management), or pay you at a master's degree level and somehow justify paying to train you and not getting the bang for his buck.

Nothing, and I really mean nothing, will make you more marketable than real world, boots on the ground, experience. It may be why so few engineers (again, below management) have a master's degree. You may end up educating yourself out of jobs. Seems backwards, but that might be the reality.

So, since you are adept at working and schooling full time together, jump in the field. Keep your pay expectations in check for the first, say... 5 years. Finish a master's in that time, then see how things look.

The biggest thing that may hold you back is, "They only want to pay me how much?!". It takes some time, and probably some job changes, to get to where you think you wanna be.

I wish you all the luck, bro. You got your head on straight. Just be humble.

I've heard others say there isn't necessarily a point unless you enjoy learning. Personally, I've never come across an EE or controls engineer with a master's. But, you're killing it. May as well go for it if you can afford to pursue it!

I got this 06 Cobalt LS I'd give you a sweet price on. Clearcoat is coming off and it's got some rust holes, but I say it's just dropping weight ready for an LS Swap. 😂

Oh don't tell me this... We just traded my wife's Trax for a 24 Colorado because the engine was trash...

But, I guess now at least there's a warranty.

Hmm.... can't figure out what's named SUPER? I'm as lost as you, but I'm trying. Haha I'm sure most of what I ask or suggest you may have dealt with or done already.

So, I am seeing that Android Auto will work like it does now without On Star? My wife was asking me that last night and I didn't know. If I don't need wifi through the truck or the app functionality on my phone, then I don't need to pay for any of that stuff?

It looks like in the first picture you uploaded that it is telling you the libraries it's looking for. Are you unable to find those?

Do you have any functionality, or can you not get a good build because of those errors?

Yeah, all we had at the moment was clump n seal. It turned to, like, mud. Finally all washed off, but it didn't work well. The cheap stuff is the best.

Dang! She looks like she behaves well while being brushed. My girl absolutely does not. And it's my fault for not doing it more when she was a puppy.

Beautiful pup!

This should have been an option on the high end models. A lot of base models don't have paint matched stuff. I think that's why it erks me on the new style. Not opposed to how they look, but this looks fan-fucking-tastic. Money well spent!
