Or the two time Strade winner. Or the MTB world champion/Olympic champion and Strade winner.

I remember the Carl Lewis vs Mike Powell battle at the 1991 world champs. Powell's world record jump was unreal. It still stands to this day. I remember after he broke the record he had a brief moment of fame where they had him dunking from the free throw line.

Except part of the NYT is just a blog platform now and it gets the same credibility that their investigative journalists get.

Jonas was also riding for overall time, while Wout would have only ridden for the win. He probably knew early on that that wasn't going to happen, so why go all out.

He also won by 9 minutes and took 6 stages. Just because there weren't any challengers doesn't mean he didn't overdo it. In Catalunya, he buried himself even though his closest rival, Landa, finished almost 4 minutes down.

When Contador attempted the double, he had to dig deeper in the Giro than he wanted. He was 5th in the Tour that year but really didn't factor in any decisive moves of the race. Pogacar looks to be in amazing form, but who knows what the next two weeks hold. He rarely cracks, but when he does, it's catastrophic.

Stage 9 has the potential to take out a few GC guys. Or it could just be a non-factor. I'd rather a boring stage 9 than someone losing it based on bad luck.

Well, contrary to what Marc Madiot thought, the Tour de France is not over in the first 3-4 days. This is shaping up to be a great race.

As long as they were white speedos and his socks weren't too high, the UCI wouldn't care.

Dependant's Day. You know, because they all live in their moms' basements.

As long as we're doing fairytales: Landa overtakes Remco and wins the ITT. Lefevere declares Remco washed up and makes Landa their new leader.

I'd say 20-30 seconds over Pogi, but this sounds about right. I have G in a close third.

The 2023 Giro would suggest otherwise. And world champs. Kung didn't shine in the Tour de Suisse ITT either. It's almost a guaranteed win for Remco, unless the weather goes to hell later in the day. Can he make up 45 seconds on Pogi in 25k though? It'll be close.

It's more about about not losing too much power in the aero position. Remco seems to have a perfect balance of being aero and not losing any power. Plenty of big watts guys can't put that power down in an aero position.

His little T-Rex arms mean he can get really low in the aero position. He also doesn't seem to lose much power in the aero position either. He's just slippery in the wind. V-Lab's ridiculous helmets don't appear to provide any advantage. An out of shape Remco put 39 seconds into Roglic — the Olympic ITT champion — at this year's Dauphine. I'd actually put G ahead of Roglic and other GC favorites.

An out of shape Remco put 39 seconds in 34k into Roglic at the Dauphiné. I think the rest of the GC contenders are lucky this ITT is only 25k.

Yeah, he's a horrible enough person that eating a dog as part of a trip shouldn't be what tanks him. He really is just awful, but this article is a hit piece from his horrible family for political reasons. They knew he was a POS all along, so why is this just now coming out. His stance on Covid and vaccines alone should disqualify him, but here we are. People care more about dogs than humans.

Pfft, the Dems and AIPAC spent $20 million to unseat incumbent progressive democrat Jamaal Bowman. And now you worry about infighting? I just want a candidate who can win. Put up anyone who can win, please! Joe Biden wasn't that person from the start, but the Dems ignored all the warning signs. Now that we're here, just figure out a way to make it work. I'll vote for whomever, but others won't. At a certain point, polls do mean something.

So for relegation, does WvA have to file a complaint or do the commissaires assign the relegation regardless.
