I much prefer patches actually worn in game so I got one with the Cup final patch

At the same time, it they keep Knight and he develops into what people think he can be, it’ll be a seamless transition from Bob as he ages and his contract expires

I remember the scramble right after for another site to establish itself as the new go-to source. I remember being turned off by CapFriendly because I thought it was a dumb name and I kept using a site that I don’t even remember the name of anymore. But CapFriendly kept enhancing and upgrading and is what it is today. Here’s hoping Puckpedia or some other copycat can take the reins in a similar fashion.

This is probably a good way to put it. I felt the same going to the parade in 2010 and going to the draft in person in 2015. Glad I did it but no desire to ever do so again

That’s kind of my expectation. Bennett probably stays for the year and then walks for a bigger payday next offseason while Lundell takes 2C

Even with the term, that's a cap hit you can entirely bury in the AHL if his play falls off a cliff. Some good cheap depth with virtually no risk.

Solid signing. The years will shock people but getting some cheap depth is crucial for them with how many free agents they have.

We just paid Athanasiou $4.25 mil last year for 2 goals, there's more to worry about than Bertuzzi at $5.5 mil

Just because David Clarkson got $5.25mil per year doesn't mean he was worth it.

I know it’s not what you’re asking for, but since Blackhawks jerseys are probably the ugliest of the knockoffs, I’d suggest looking at eBay. You can often find a CCM or Reebok for a decent deal while not supporting Fanatics and not risking getting something similar to this atrocity.

First player to be getting paid two different buyout payments at the same time though.

Hey I went to that one too, sweating my ass off in the middle of Michigan Avenue. Was a fun time between Kane's drunkenness, Versteeg rapping, and Byfuglien telling all the cab drivers to watch out. But to answer OP, I was glad I went but it's not a very interactive event with the team. Either watch them go by on busses or stand in a mass of people at the rally location.

Was thinking of heading there on a lunch break this week. Any tips on parking? Never been to the team store outside of a game day

I feel like I’m in the minority that I really don’t care for the Kings 90s look. They desperately need some color, be it the purple/silver/black of the 00s (my preference) or the purple/gold that everyone else seems to love

A very firm meh. Needs purple.

Pretty sure the middle tier is the current adidas “authentic”. So the 3 tiers would be real deal authentic, “authentic”, and the current breakaway jerseys

I want to say I've read they have to submit 2 ballots with 10 minutes left, one for a Panthers win and one for an Oilers win. I can't complain about McDavid winning, I can however clown on Jim Matheson for voting Hyman 2nd.

Panthers assistant coach Tuomo Ruutu is also a Stanley Cup champion

The Athletic did an article recently talking to Cup-losing Conn Smythe winners and they all seemed to agree that it was a major honor in retrospect despite not giving the slightest fuck in the moment. It will be a lot easier to appreciate if like Giguere he wins his own Cup though.

I’m originally from the Chicago suburbs too and it was always a challenge to find a good roller rink, consistently had to drive 20 minutes to get to one. I would’ve been devastated if it got shut down for another sport that has locations all over the place. Voted to support the roller rink, best of luck to you.

I seem to recall there being questions about Brandon Saad’s attitude and effort level in his draft year. Between that and injuries, he fell from a potential early 1st round pick to a 2nd round pick

Is that any better than the first name coming to mind for me being Alex Frolov?
