Nigga keep catching smoke for having no bitches but he said YOU ALREADY KNOW MY BODY
"...if the old Emperor had been surreptitiously Smothered; that same crowd in a moment would have hailed Their new Augustus. They shed their sense of responsibility Long ago, when they lost their votes, and the bribes; the mob That used to grant power, high office, the legions, everything, Curtails its desires, and reveals its anxiety for two things only, Bread and circuses. ‘I hear that many will perish.’ ‘No doubt, The furnace is huge.'”
Juvenal, Satire X. ~100 AD
So you think his Achilles heel might be his Achilles heel?
Idk some people think it's good for the president to have more power bc like u said we all know he doesn't really run shit.
I think the president has enough power right now but the problem is the two political parties more than anything. We used to have a lot more but now the rich mfs just buy both em and all we get is whatever Bezos and Zuckerberg think is best and both them niggas only give a fuck about themselves
The president doesn't control a lot of things but Trump wants to change that. In that Project 2025 stuff the general goal is to change the balance of powers among the legislative, judicial and executive branches to heavily favor the executive branch so that the president becomes a King who can do whatever they want with no repercussions and attack/ jail people for having dissenting opinions.
Supreme Court just said that Trump is immune from most of his pending prosecutions, basically paving the way for all president's to be immune from being criminally charged for what they do, "in the commission of their duties". So if the president says it's necessary for the president to take a bribe to do their duties it's fine. If the president deems it necessary to shoot somebody in the middle of 5th St? All good as long as he says it was in the commission of his presidency.
Because political parties are how we historically managed elections back when there was no internet or telephones. The presidential candidate was selected based on how they represented the "goals" of the party, and then you could vote on party lines and get somebody elected who generally voted a certain way on major issues.
What political parties are now is a filter for candidates who might buck the status quo. Everybody who gets in there knows somebody or called in a favor. Then they collect their 175k a year, but somehow become millionaires within 3 years. They are all making bank while nothing ever changes. The billionaires get more billions for the price of millions to the people whose turn it is to run shit... for them.
Might have enough money for in and out
Down voting it doesn't make it any less true. It just speaks tomes about the character of gen x and millennials when it boils down.
Our best effort was the Bernie campaign and most of us did nothing for it. We expected somebody else to take care of it for us which has been a habitual weakness in our generations while living off the leftover salted fat from the boomers.
Oh let's cherish the good old days together by buying branded liquor and growing absurd mustaches. That will really stick it to them. We let them run the world when it was ours to lead.
Let's make sure to pay Taylor Swift prices to go see a punk show. It's as convenient as shopping like a billionaire on Teemu.
I'm getting my citizenship in a foreign country so I can run for mayor. I'm active in my union and not letting them be complacent by joining the collective bargaining team. I'm still out here to make the world a better place and I'm going to keep doing it. I'd love to have more of us old fuckers get mad about it like we were brought up to be.
I'm actually getting a kick out of these. Mostly because millennials like myself and Gen X kids should have been finding ways to disrupt the decrepit boomers from destroying everything in their wake, but we exist in the world everything about early punk warned us against.
We are sell outs on the whole because when we have the most leverage we have not done the leg work to build a better future and conviently blamed it on the boomers. Sure, some of us got ahead by buying homes before it was impossible but what have we done for labor movements? What have we done to strip the wealth from the billionaires? What have we done to slow the global climate crisis?
We got way too tame and took the easy way out that these kids do not have and we're deaf to our responsibilities to fix the system for them. Hell, we have such a low birth rate because of how scared we are for a future WE ARE ACITVELY LETTING HAPPEN.
Watch that shit be made with Henny 😭😭
Mafia works because you'll only ever have one mf who knows them and he disappear before he even finish thinking about saying shit.
Bx kid up in Canada living life right here. Shit is great
Back in my day we used to get cuts on our feet and be grateful for having the saltwater there to sterilize em. Oh, the great glass beaches were so magnificent!
