It happens. I’ve hit so much stuff in the ambulance. Just pass your drug test and you’re fine.

You should be in a profession for money. Don’t accept a joke of a parade simply because you want to do a job.

My second job is 2.5 hours away from my home. That is the absolute furthest I will drive and only because of their reputation as being the best department in the state, progressive protocols, great culture, and good pay.

Also I wouldn’t travel like that for anything less than 24 or 48 hour shifts.

You are a new emt. This is a learning experience and you learned from this experience. We have all messed up in some manner or another. Don’t beat yourself up too much. In the future you will have the experience to know that you need to transport. Also a good thing to think about for the future is that they can always meet up with you enroute if you really need them.

Finish your nursing school and then you should peruse the paramedic program if you’re still interested. Unless you’re just doing prerequisites. Then it’s a little different. Nursing pays better and there are services that will allow you to act as a nurse on an ambulance.

Yes. Each bill is worth a whopping $100!

My department is like $15-20 starting hourly but we start most emts around $18.

I wouldn’t do anything. You’re off duty and intoxicated.

Absolutely. She needs to go through an apprenticeship with a good artist. She has potential. But if anyone tells her that she gets pissy with people and her little friends come out and defend this shitty work. 😂

Yeah. This persons work is horrendous. This is only one sample of her “work”. The rest of the stuff on her site is just as bad. 😂

D. Definitely D. The blue cheese and the buffalo pair too well not to.

We have a locksmith where I live that bought an old ambulance we sold to the dealership. He drives it around and it seems to work well for him. He cracks me up though because he always waves at us when we see him like we’re in some sort of secret ambulance drivers club. 😂

Incentive? I’ve heard of that. I know it’s a word. I know what it means in theory. But not in reality.

This is “insert nurse or tech name”. They are a great nurse. You are in great hands they’re going to take great care of you/your family.

I also work in a small community and know our nurses and techs very well. They’re all fantastic.

Ran my license. Chewed my ass real good and let me go.

If your job isn’t going to take it seriously I’d go to the state office.

Not something I’d consider. Too far from the wife for me. I’d also feel like I was at work 24/7. Which I would hate. Plus it’d be a little bit of a paycut for me.

This is the most helpful advice I’ve got so far. Thank you! I will definitely be doing this.
