This may not be received well, but this is the reason I did not entertain fosters or rescues when I got my last dog. Where I live, the “desirable” dogs are immediately taken by “rescues” who farm them out to “fosters.” Then the so called rescues expect people to schedule an appointment to meet, several home visits, credit and background checks, and in person meetings with references. And 5 or more years of vet records. That’s a no from me. I’m buying a puppy from a breeder or adopting from a shelter. Personally, I adopted from a shelter with no hassle because I don’t have the time or patience for a puppy. Rescues around here are scams.
