So, the novel series I'm planning on writing has the number 3 as the biggest theme and symbol, so what if I continue it in a way where there's Good, Neutral, Bad?

Do you think it's possible to have Soul and Spirit be separate? Like two different things?

Here are examples of some elements I was toying with: Water, Fire, Air, Earth, Lightning, Ice, Shadow, Light, Time, Mind, Order, Chaos, Spirit, Life, Death, Blood, Metal, Void, Plasma, Force, Magnetism, Poison, Acid, Nature. I'm very open to suggestions.

I did that for a few colors, and the opposite colors would come put with things like "Squirrel Gray" or "Red Berry," which was a little too much for me.

I am also experimenting with some being in groups of 3 to antagonize each other in a rock, paper, scissors manner if there is no distinct opposite.

Mana, I'm open to it. I just don't know how to include it. I'm using these colors to assign elements, then biomes, and using the final product for creating a map for a novel series.

Side note, Cyan and Aqua are the same, so I dropped Aqua to include Crimson

I have been trying to make equal opposites as much as possible, but it's hard. I was thinking of having order v chaos, but I couldn't think of one for mind. I also thought about using lightning and magnetism. It's been a struggle.

Maybe they created everything, realized they had complete control, and created free will, essentially giving up their power so as not to mess up the natural world they created.

Yes, but with things like "light," "twilight," "mind," "order," "chaos," "life," etc.

As for the magic schools, I've not a fan of traditional magic like that. Never really appealed to me for the world I'm creating. I don't think they are bad, I love them in worlds like "Harry Potter" or "Skyrim." I just don't think they would fit well here.

Fantasy Elements Assigned to ColorsDiscussion

I'm a huge into using colors for symbolism for world building, and I need to assign a fantasy element to each color (listed below) and I figured I'd post them here to see what you guys think and come up with also. There's 30, so bare with me. The post may mess up the formatting. After I assign an element to each, I will assign a biome based on that element: Red, Rose, Pink, Fuschia, Magenta, Purple, Lavender, Blue, Light-Blue, Aqua, Cyan, Teal, Turquoise, Mint, Green, Lime, Chartreuse, Yellow, Amber, Orange, Copper, Bronze, Brown, Tan, Gold, Silver, White, Light-Gray, Gray, Black.

<30 = Low

30 = High

Is that correct?

High Angle Rescue Chart

Does anyone have a good chart referencing flat to low angle to steep to high angle?

Awesome! I'm finishing up my HEMS portion and will jump straight to that section. Is the NPS guide a good resource in your opinion?

WP-C Technical Rescue Guides

I'm studying for my WP-C and have looked at the candidate handbook and have most resources. I'm feeling the weakest at the rope systems snd technical rescue safety.

I currently have the NPS Technical Rescue Handbook and the Seth Hawkins Wilderness EMS book. Do you guys recommend any other resources?

Also any tips for the exam? I finished all the Mountain Rescue Association Courses and have TCCC / PFC CPG memorized by heart (I have FP-C and TP-C currently)

The number 3 is also a big portion of the story

There's 3 major conflicts:

  1. The return of an evil being

  2. A war between multiple nations

  3. Two secret factions fighting each other.

All 3 conflicts are intertwined, and I was trying to go off of that. I tried incorporating the word "threads" or "ephemeral"

I also previously tried titles based on the main characters' cynical nature, but it comes out to depressing or pessimistic.

Yeah, his post was very useful and made me go back to the drawing board. Central would be the standard good versus evil. However, my series is trying to display that "Good" never wins without committing "Evil" actions.

Yeah, they have a 300-word limit rule, and the general group of people who constantly respond are no help. Most just give advice I could do a quick Google search, and the feedback is never constructive.

I'm in the same boat. I've been trying to get help naming my novel series, and I have no clue where to post for that.

I like it a lot. It gives a good symbolism to the nation.

You can always put a name in front of Sultanate as well

Sultanate if you are going for a desert country.

(Blank) aristocracy if you are going for Victorian/Colonial

A symbol like "Big Brother" if it's more totalitarian.

Add "ates" or "ians" to the end of a made-up class.

I based the world in my novel off of a mixture of the 12th century and 17th century, with the main nation being similar to England and the themes of domination and commerce.

If you follow traditional Christianity, you can try to humanize God by creating a story from their POV. Technically, you could do that for almost any religion.
