Not happy for Florida, but happy for Okposo, Reinhart, and Montour.
Agreed. But there are spots where something like this makes sense as a last resort. For example. There is a river trail in my community. It’s near my work, so I’m often walking or sitting on a bench near a spot that has stairs. It’s a really nice ride, that is connected to an even longer state wide trail. it’s disconnected in the middle by these stairs. So for out of towners, they don’t know where to go. A simple bike ramp would allow them to continue on and not hit a brick wall so to speak.
Those familiar with the community know that they can go around the building on the roads and get to an on road and dangerous section to keep moving forward.
But you made it. Fuck yeah!
I can easily do this after 6 beers.
Jealous. Sounds like a great show!
It’s impressive.
Crocs are right for every situation. Tips hat, m’lady!
If they could read this they’d be upset.
Go on, I’m almost KOM…
MCDC and Josh Allen would be a scary combo.
Agreed. Just got the Apollo Ti when they were clearing them out to launch the new pinion version. I love it. I started commuting on a road bike, went to a gravel bike (had some issues), switched to a flat bar commuter, now this. Flat bar commuting was nice, always glad to be on a bike. But the Apollo has made commuting fun again! I didn’t do the gear switch, might need to think about it. But I live in a pretty flat area so it might be unnecessary for my commute. It’s so silent. Feels like flying.
Dog pee can kill grass. I didn’t know this until I watched my sister’s dog and a week later there were brown circles all over my tiny lawn. I asked her, and she said yeah that’ll happen.
So, people who like a nice lawn take pride in whatever, don’t like when dogs pee on their lawn.
Make sure to carry it out in large plastic bags down the service elevator. It definitely won’t arouse suspicions. Maybe put some ham in there to throw them off the scent.
I went to Portsmouth, NH somewhere around 2017-2019 or so. My wife and I took a walk around the old town and came to an intersection with a crosswalk, it may have been mid-block. The two lane traffic came to a stop and let us cross. This happened again at the next intersection, and again at another. For our entire trip we were prioritized. I’ve never been to any other place where the cars just stopped for me without a fight or wait. It still blows my mind in the best way.
Not as good, but state and county jobs also fall into this category of clear paths and very clear expectations of a 40 hour week with plenty of time off. Sometimes it can feel a bit annoying that you are behind the times. But it can also feel rewarding depending on what you are doing. Plus pensions are a nice thing.
Fair enough. IMO she’s far more normal than I would have turned out.
It’s amazing she’s as normal as she is. Like, how?
I could barely do Angels Landing in Zion, I definitely can’t do this.
Be careful. Boeing will come for you.
You could be me. We are the same age and sound very similar. The thing I find odd, is that you mention you are more afraid of cars than anything else. As a cyclist/pedestrian I get that, drivers all terrible and care only about getting somewhere quick. What I don’t understand is how this doesn’t equate to a fear or at least concern that about ATVs/dirtbikes. They are not only motorized vehicles but they are largely ignoring the rules of the road: speeding, weaving around traffic, blowing through lights. And they are often on paths and other places where slower moving traffic is. People disregarding traffic rules and driving however they please are a problem, whether it’s a dirt bike, ATV, Chevy Suburban, Ford Explorer, or whatever. This only feeds the narrative of lawlessness. I hear you that the layers of problems are deeper than traffic safety and noise. But those quality of life issues affect everyone, and reinforce a racial and economic segregation that continues in Monroe County. The suburbs are growing more diverse, not necessarily because people want to live, but because it’s the best choice when someone factors in costs, safety, and schools. As someone who loves living in the city, I wish that wasn’t the case. But it’ll keep happening if we keep making excuses and say nothing can be done.
Vanilla ice cream with maple syrup. Lovely. Just pour the maple syrup on the ice cream and call it a day.
Agreed. I want and Edmonton vs Panthers finals. It’ll be the optimal choice. Either Canada (and McDavid) finally get a cup or some ex Sabres get it, and although I don’t love the Panthers, they are a well built playoff team
Our Captain continues his cup run!
