Both look good, depends what you're going for. Blonde makes you look younger and looks better with your skin tone, but the brunette makes you look more mature and sexy (please don't take that the wrong way, it's just the vibe I'm noticing). If it were me, I would go with what is easiest to maintain based off your natural colour.
Maybe look into wildlife forensics, since you said he likes the outdoors? I don't know much about it to be honest with you, other than the fact that they work with non-human biological evidence, but I know that it is a subcommittee within OSAC. They have a section on it on their website. They also have lots of other subcommittees that produce standards for a wide variety of forensic disciplines. Just Google OSAC (Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science) and go to their "About Us - Organizational Structure - Subcommittees" section to see all of the disciplines that have committees. You may find some inspiration/ideas there.
I especially like the part where the rat grew an extra leg. That bone cancer really metastasized....
I am in the middle of a mage run, and I've also noticed this issue. I've never enjoyed the alchemy aspect of the game, so I didn't go for alchemy. Here are some things I've decided to do to keep in line with a mage roleplay yet conserve my Magicka without relying on alchemy:
I thought to myself - If a mage did carry a weapon, what would it be? A staff, obviously. So I built up my blunt weapon ability and I use my staff to deal with smaller enemies and save my Magicka for tougher fights.
I test out lots of spells to find which ones I think are most effective for my play style. Then, if a pre-made spell isn't as efficient as I would like it to be, I go and pay for my own to be made with appropriate tweaks (for example, lots of pre-made levitation spells are decent Magicka drains, but I need to use levitation a lot. I went and got someone to make a cheap levitation spell that lasts for 10s and only costs me like, 5 Magicka to cast. It's proven VERY useful and efficient so far).
I carry lots of backup scrolls and buy regen potions whenever I see them. I save them for bigger fights and more dire circumstances. Enchanted items are also like, your best friend as a mage in this game (cost no magicka to cast and will passively regen over time - fortify Magicka clothing is super great as a mage or any rings, etc that cast damage spells).
I take the game slow - realistically, one or two big fights in a day would probably be enough to make anyone tired. I rest a lot and I accept that my progress will be slow. On the flip side, this has made me appreciate the game atmosphere more and has made my progress feel more rewarding.
If you're a wood elf (like me), it wouldn't be out of character to lean into archery a little bit as well. Initiate fights with a couple shots out of your bow and arrow, and then switch to staff/Magicka when they come closer.
Those are just some of my main tactics right now to conserve a mage-like roleplay without sapping magicka constantly. Obviously I didn't completely optimize my character for mage at the start (I just love wood elves too much haha), and I'm assuming you didn't either. So as long as you are okay with not playing a "pure" mage, then there are other tactics you can use to conserve the feeling of playing mage while also sparing your Magicka use.
Last game I played was actually Deep Rock Galactic just a couple days ago. I have full faith i'm coming back alive and in one piece. Rock n stone!
Shhh don't tell them.
I was just thinking that this guy looks a lot like Rami Malek, but I thought I would be the only one who thought that lol.
I read the entire post half absent-mindedly, and then when I finished I said to myself "wait...waht??" Lmfao
Oh man, we usually just order different things every time. They may also rotate their menu from time to time. I don't remember the official names of the dishes, but some previous hits have been the Applewood smoked octopus dish (comes with hummus and paprika), the deep fried black cod dish (a whole fish, head and everything!), and the soft scrambled duck egg dish that you can dip some bread in. Fair warning if you've never had tapas before - they are small, intimate dishes that are meant to be shared. It's not the typical 'everyone gets a whole dish to themselves' kind of thing. Dishes come out approx 10 mins apart and are small, but high quality.
Madrina Bar y Tapas is where me and my partner go for anniversaries. Fantastic everytime.
Can confirm the re-released Myst is fantastic. Same game, but even more immersive/enjoyable since it's up to date with today's standards (no longer 2D click through to play - now 3D first person environment that you can fully move around in real time).
You know what, that gave me a good chuckle.
One time, the crew and I got wasted at the bar and messed around like that in the game for a while. By the time we drank a leaf lovers, I realized I had made a grave mistake and the rest of the gaming session was horrible for me because I was perpetually motion sick from then on. 10/10 would try again.
It's possible, but she's not a corporate worker. She is a circus teacher so that's why she got free tickets - through the circus community. Maybe someone else was holding a corporate event and we just piggybacked off of the perks? Lmao. I have no idea why stuff was free to be honest. We only knew a few other circus teachers who were also there.
No, my friend got the tickets for free through her work. I don't know how her work bought the tickets, but it was everyone in the venue getting stuff for free, not just us. You just walked up to the counter and got your stuff, no questions asked.
Something interesting is going on with their concession prices because I went to the show about a month ago, and me and my friend were super surprised to find that the alcohol and popcorn were free! I was honestly suspicious at first because what venue offers concessions for free? But they were just plopping popcorn on the counter for people to take, and if you wanted alcohol you just asked for it and they gave it to you, no charge. It was bizarre but also totally awesome.
Maybe it has something to do with what day of the week you see the show? It was busy and the tent was nearly full though so I don't know. I think we went on a Wednesday.
I think a macchiato or a cortado are exactly what you are looking for, the only thing you need to change is the coffee place you buy from. Pilot got it right because they specialize in specialty coffee. Places like Second Cup, Starbucks, etc don't actually make those things right. They often don't even make espresso very well, in my opinion. I used to work as a barista at a specialty coffee house, and the chain coffee places were always sneered at for these reasons (speciality baristas can be snobby about their coffee lol). You just gotta find places like Pilot to get your fix from if that's how you like your coffee. Just the way it is.
When I saw this episode I yelled "NO WAY THAT'S BULLDOG FROM FRASIER." It was a good time lol.
Tool has a lot of great stuff. I would recommend the Lateralus album. You could also check out Evanescence. Lots of great dramatic and operatic rock stuff on Fallen and The Open Door.
Ugh, reminds me of when I went in to buy a Nintendo controller for the switch and the guy at the counter was basically grilling me for it. Asking why I needed this controller specifically from Nintendo, and how I could save so much money on buying an off-brand controller because you only need the Nintendo controller for "games that require high sensitivity." The sexist undertones in that statement really set me off when I thought about it afterwards (basically assuming that because I'm a girl, I'm obviously playing "non-skill" games), but unfortunately I was too flabbergasted and confused in the moment to address it or register it. What makes me more mad is that, because I was blindsided by this guy's weird behaviour, I gave in and bought the off brand controller. Will never make this mistake again and will always call that shit out from now on.
Damn, as an adult I realized slowfall would negate the fall damage, but as a kid, I used to just pause and save the game before hitting the ground and then reload. What a tedious method lmao.
Scenario 1: you scared him off with marriage talk - he's not looking for anything serious.
Scenario 2: this guy's life sounds complicated right now - he was just looking for someone nice to pass the time with. He can't commit to anything or anyone at the moment. Deep talks are good and all, but they are also heavy and emotionally taxing. I'm sure he has enough of that in his life right now.
Scenario 3: this guy was looking for an ego boost.
You say you see loads of "green flags" but I don't think I agree. Guy in scenario 1 seems best out of them all, but in the end he wasn't that serious about you. A mini vacation is nice and all, but it's also an opportunity for sexy time. He was probably not looking for anything serious. Guy in scenario 2 seems like wrong place, wrong time - his life is too complicated right now. A bitter custody battle is not a green flag. And any man who cold approaches you in the street is not necessarily a green flag either. It tells you that you are attractive and he is confident (good qualities), but that's about it. There's no indication what his intentions are. And the fact that he ghosted you afterwards is a red flag now.
I think you need to slow down, protect yourself and focus on yourself. Keep dating, but keep it light. Reel yourself in a little bit. If a guy wants to stick around, he will. And deep conversations will develop from there. It's possible you're just coming on too strong. You have a lot to offer, I can tell, but it's scaring dudes away.
Thoughts?
