Nice shot...another grand day...

Backyard Bushcraft....I love it....

That's my goal....to just keep moving...

Rapture- a feeling of intense pleasure or joy.

Awe- a feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear or wonder.

Wonder- a feeling of surprise mingled with admiration, caused by something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar, or inexplicable.

I would be happy there also...

Now here to no where...Now here to no where...

Fatwood and birchbark...

Hatch that ember....

I can't tell you how many I have blown the seeds off of....

Original Gerber MultiTool Modification

The first photo the far right image is my model. I got this as an advertisement from Ocean Tech in Valdez, Alaska.

The second photo shows my modifications. I ordered: Maerd P6 P11 Multitool Accessory Tools Set, Screwdriver Magnetic Extender Accessory bits from Amazon. I took the Phillips screw driver blade and shaved 1/32” off of two opposing sides and the Magnetic Extender fits well. I then thinned down the pliers’ jaws so it will fit better in tight places. The grind is concave on the outside of the jaws to shave Loblolly Pine fatwood and strike a Ferro cerium rod.

I couldn't give better advice....

"I like your Christ, but not your Christianity." In these words of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. J.H. Holmes summed up the Indian leader's view of Christianity in a recent interview with a CRIMSON reporter. Dr. Holmes, professor of Philosophy at Swarthmore College and a member of the Society of Friends, had just completed a tour around the world, during which he spent some time in India. He had several opportunities of conversing with Gandhi. He was present at the meeting of the All-Indian Congress and had the honor of being the only westerner ever allowed to speak from their platform.

Continuing in Gandhi's words, Dr. Holmes said, "I believe in the teachings of Christ, but you on the other side of the world do not, I read the Bible faithfully and see little in Christendom that those who profess faith pretend to see.

"The Christians above all others are seeking after wealth. Their aim is to be rich at the expense of their neighbors. They come among aliens to exploit them for their own good and cheat them to do so. Their prosperity is far more essential to them than the life, liberty, and happiness of others.

"The Christians are the most warlike people."

In 1947 Angier and his new wife, Vena (Elvena, 1914–2011), were living in Boston, Massachusetts. They had long romanticized the life of Henry David Thoreau and decided to move to Hudson's Hope, a small town in northeastern British Columbia, Canada, to live off the land. Once there, they found an old prospector's cabin. With the few tools and how-to books they brought with them, they were able to repair the cabin. Bradford Angier then set about learning to hunt and gather wild food.

He eventually started writing survival books. Vena Angier was artistic and hand-illustrated several of his books. The couple lived in Canada until the building of the W.A.C. Bennett Dam during the 1960s on the Peace River near their home forced them to move. They moved to Cambria, California, and built a house that was less than 1,000 square feet (93 m2). For decades Bradford Angier and Calvin Rutstrum were the two most prominent "how to" authors on living in the wilderness.

Depends on your point of view. Do you make things simple or complicated? Do you feel that you need a lot of things or get by with as little as possible? Are gadgets or skills more important to you?

For me it is Simplify and Clarify; freedom is simplicity and simplicity is freedom....

Make it your "medicine place"; a place inside of you that you can return to anytime you desire. A place where you can do anything you can imagine; create, fly, or heal...
