they gave up before the first whistle. they have nothing to play for, idk why I ever thought herwise

I came 9 years later to say this. They're very much from LA. Tyler went to Fairfax high school which is in a very trendy neighborhood bordering Beverly Hills. You hit the nail on the head, LA is mad diverse. For one, there's a huge youth punk/metal/skater community that's been thriving for years.

I thought the same. If being honest maybe Arsenal red didn't suit him? But Milan kit is always fire for anyone.

The team played amazing tonight from the opening whistle. Every last player was locked in and had their big moment. This team is going to be lethal after we get Giroud.

Oh wow I never knew Dracula was Romanian. I'm guessing Transylvania is somewhere in the country then lol

What's real wild is how you got this much karma for the same comment

Never will happen. It's completely at odds with the profit model for owners that all American sports follow, and is too risky for investors.

This is the real answer. The movement is what allowed Kroos to play the right pass that Vini wanted. Vini was the architect here.

Vini's movement literally begged for Kross to play that ball into the gap that Vini's bait formed. His off ball movement was what created this goal.

Is it better than Pacific chill? Because that one slaps (although it's far from versatile)

Oh okay, there were many comments saying that they didn't hate each other which had me confused. But I can see how both can be simultaneously true.

I highly doubt he was recognizable to country folk in the late 70s. This was well before his face was plastered everywhere.

Declan Rice turning back at those screaming sours fans foaming at the mouth behind the corner flag was my highlight the match

There are so many reasons why it tends to flow one way over the other, and hypergamy is definitely in there. I'm going to generalize here so bear with me. When seeking a partner men tend to prioritize care and physical attraction, whereas women are usually more interested in social mobility and protection. For diaspora women, bringing in a husband from back home can often mean importing a man of lower status into the West (lower status by way of being broke, black, and foreign). This doesn't seem as attractive an option for social mobility through marriage, especially since these women can speak perfect English and have the potential of elevating their own status and that of her future children by marrying a white man (not always the case, but many American born habesha women prefer this, especially those that grew up in suburbs). Then there's also back home men often being raised with more traditional views towards gender roles, which conflict with the lesser domestic responsibilities women in the West are accustomed to. That's actually a disappointment for both parties.

There's definitely more, and none of this is 100% applicable to everyone ofc. There are so many moving parts and scenarios where just about any combination of class, ethnicity, nationality, religion, etc. can intersect to make any kind of couple, but I feel like the forces mentioned above play an domineering role in guiding who couples, or doesn't couple, with who.

Bruh, no diaspora woman is dating a man from back home. It just don't flow like that.
